Ok I play a lot of destiny (pve and pvp), so I sure am a completionist. That includes having all the achievements and beaten pretty much all activities Destiny has to offer. I am very close to max Grimoire (need 3 more). However one such Grimoire card set has been eluding me ever since day one, the ViP kill cards. To complete these cards you need to kill 250 patrol kill targets. I have about 110 killed so far and I need 140 more. This task is taking way too long to complete and to be honest it would be nice if there was an easier for more people to get these cards. I have some ideas for making these cards easier to obtain...
1.) Make taken champions count as ViP kills.
2.) Make public event kill targets count as ViP kills.
3.) Maybe make CoO bosses count as ViP kills.

It was so easy...

Edited by faterguito: 7/19/2016 4:21:25 AMI'm just as far as you are for the card, so quit waisting time complaining and start grinding lmao. I'm only like 15 off max grimoire. Just do like 5 a day.

1 ReplyCourt Tier 3 bosses count. Also don't forget that if you're in a fireteam of 3, each VIP kill counts as 3 instead of 1.
-
1 ReplyReally that's the one you're complaining about and not Rumble requiring a win instead of a top 3 or Doubles which isn't always available (should be Rift instead IMHO)?
-
I would have agreed with you before I got my 250 as this is extremely tedious, but now that I have it, everyone should suffer like I did.

Edited by WormChi: 7/18/2016 1:48:16 PMI agree it sucks, but I know plenty of players who did it, shouldn't take that time investment away from them. *cough mountain top quest

3 RepliesI have more then 800 of them 😂 You get me my rumble wins and I'll get you your ready vip kills 😉
yes i would like it for the grimoire if it would count a top 3 finish in rumble as a win but it wouldn't be fair for those who did it the way it is right now would it?
-Go to Cosmodrome patrol -Pull your ghost out to check for vip beacons -Complete vip mission (star icon) if one appears in the spawn area, return to orbit. -If there isn't a vip beacon, summon your sparrow, check the Rocketyard (area facing north of where you spawn in) -If there's a vip mission available in the Rocketyard, complete it, then return to orbit -If there isn't a vip mission available, return to orbit -Repeat any and all steps as necessary Do it for an hour (or more if you really want to grind it out) per play session and it'll go by much quicker.

Earth was best place to find the mission to do this on
-
I just did this the other day it took hours but worth it for the grimiore
-
No. You gotta grind for that number.
-
No, make them harder
-
1 ReplyIt's really quick if you do it in a fireteam. Each person takes a different area and your team only picks up the VIP patrols. Nearest person takes the target out, rinse repeat and then bounce to orbit when the VIP patrols are done.
-
What? Do you even Destiny bro?
-
6 RepliesDestiny is all about the grind. Don't play it if you're too lazy.
-
Just grind dude. Grind.
-
It's easy. If you do your daily patrol bounties you should have been done last year. I have some thing like 1000 vip kills and I rarely do them
-
I farmed that shot for 2 straight days, got the card, and haven't patrolled since...
-
2 RepliesNah they need to leave it right where it is. VIP kills and Public events were meant to be 2 seperate things. The whole point of the VIP kills is to go on the planets and explore them, familize yourself with the areas and enemies, at least it was in Year 1. Yes it does take a little longer than most and can get repetitive when you patrol a map with no VIP beacons then have to go to orbit and do it all over, but that's pretty much how the game is.

1 ReplyFly down to earth, check patrol beacons in steppes, grab VIp and move onto divide. Do the same for divide and rocket yard, you can usually get 3 or 4 VIP kills per earth "run". It takes about 5-7 minutes per run, then go to orbit, rinse and repeat. You'll have them done in no time, not to mention a crap load of rep and glimmer...
