Cabal Expansion Idea: Forge of Steel

We haven't had a Cabal DLC yet and I've been wanting one since Dark Below. Now I'm impatient and I'm making my own. If you have any suggestions, let me know! Feel free to use any ideas here to create your own DLC! I'll be ironing out the DLC a little later with all the suggestions, thanks guys! [b][u]Backstory:[/u][/b] With no high Cabal command remaining in the system, the Empire is forced to send reinforcements. This new legion is using experimental equipment and tactics, and are more flexible as a whole. This legion has learned from its enemies strengths and its allies weaknesses to create a more dangerous and well prepared legion that is able to recognize doomed battles and respond as such.. ----------------------------------------- [b][u]Content[/u][/b] [u]Mission 1: Skyburner Breakthrough[/u] [u]Location: Dreadnaught, Saturn[/u] A new emergency signal is broadcasting from the Cabal inside the Dreadnaught, simply saying "mission success". Breach the Dantalion Exodus once again to discover that the Cabal have found the Hive secret of draining the Light. [u]Mission 2: The New Legion[/u] [u]Location: Cosmodrome, Earth:[/u] A report comes out of a massive flurry of Fallen activity in the Cosmodrome. Fearing another Twilight Gap is immanent, the Vanguard sends you to investigate and confirm their suspicions. But to everyone's surprise, you encounter not Fallen but a Cabal scouting party, belonging to a Legion not yet seen. This scouting party is led by a Bracus leading a team of Psion Specialists. Fight the Bracus and track the Harvester. Cabal scouting on Earth could mean they are turning their eyes on the City. [u]Mission 3: Fleetbase Oracle[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] The Harvester was tracked back to Europa, one of the moons of Jupiter. It is here where the new legion has set up shop, creating Fleetbase Oracle. The new legion is named the Steel Gauntlet. You and several other Guardians lead a charge on the base. Despite heavy resistance, break into the Fleetbase and establish a transmat zone from which to learn more about the Steel Gauntlet's motives. All other Guardians assaulting the Fleetbase are captured or killed. [u]Mission 4: Hostiles[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] As you battle your way through the Fleetbase to try to find Cabal command, you see a massive battle raging outside. When you look closer, you see that the Cabal are battling an unidentified house of Fallen just outside the Fleetbase perimeter.It appears the Fallen were already residing on Europa when the Cabal arrived. Smash your way behind Fallen lines to see if they have any information on where Steel Gauntlet command may be. In doing this, you learn the House's name: the House of Ruin. [u]Mission 5: Perimeter Breach[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] Having learned where in the base Cabal Command resides, fight your way in. Climb into the air ducts above the Command Room and eavesdrop on a Cabal meeting. There, you will find Primus Ma'aurc and 3 of his Valus', Sho'oul, A'arusk, and Bo'oarc. Find their plans to assault the Last City and return home to defend. [u]Mission 6: Raiding Party[/u] [u]Location: City Perimeter, Earth[/u] By the time you arrive at the Tower, the Cabal attack has already begun. One front has already fallen and until the attack is repelled more, you are the only Guardian available to fill in. Defend an objective against the onslaught and face off against a Val to finish the mission. But the Primus and his Valus' were not part of the attack, implying that the final assault is yet to come. You must disrupt and kill the Cabal Command to prevent another attack. [u]Mission 7: Swift Retaliation[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] Return to the Fleetbase to end the Cabal and save the City. Fight through the base to face Primus Ma'aurc and his commanders. Ma'aurc, Sho'oul, and A'arusk are wounded in your attack and fall back further into the Fleetbase. Valus Bo'oarc hops into a gunship to cover the Primus' retreat. Take control of a Cabal Anti-Air cannon and use it to shoot down the gunship. When destroyed, it lands on top of the Fleetbase, killing Bo'oarc but blocking the path to the Primus and the other two Valus'. With Cabal Command locked away inside the base, holding back until reinforcements arrive, other Guardians are now able to help wrest control of the Fleetbase over from the Cabal and Fallen. [u]Mission 8: Incursion[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] Reports indicate that the Cabal are holding the House of Ruin's Archon in their Brig. Eliminate the Fallen rescue team before they are able to reunite with their Archon. [u]Strike 1: Inferno Complex[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] A top Siege Dancer engineer has been enlisted to create defenses in the Fleetbase to protect the now entrenched Primus. Eliminate the Engineer before fortifications around the Primus become too much to overcome. [u]Strike 2: Gods of Ruin[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] Reports indicate that some Fallen are keeping on the back lines of the fight, staying near to their Prime Servitor, Soliks Prime to become powerful and snuff out the Light in the Fleetbase. Destroy the Prime and its Disciples before they become too powerful to handle. [u]Activity 1: The Front Lines[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] This zone is the main place of conflict between the Cabal and Fallen. It is always in "the enemy is moving against each other", and occasionally bosses will spawn both for Fallen and Cabal. [u]Activity 2: Cabal Lieutenants[/u] [u]Location(s): Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] [u]Exclusion Zone, Mars[/u] While the main Cabal Command has retreated inside the Fleetbase, various Bracus' and Vals remain at large, willing and able to complete the Primus' bidding. Eliminate them. (This activity is similar to the House of Wolves Fallen Hunt) [u]Activity 3: The Brig[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] Use Cabal Access Keys to release and challenge prisoners of the Cabal. (This activity is similar to the Court of Oryx, but gives you more than artifacts) [u]Raid: The Gauntlet[/u] [u]Location: Fleetbase Oracle, Europa[/u] Smash through the gunship wreckage and enter the fortification of the Primus. Navigate through traps, puzzles, and bosses to reach the Primus and end his command, crippling the Iron Gauntlet. He captures various areas of it, including the Hangar. Using this opportunity, he leads a portion of his house off of Europa to request help from other houses. [u]Mission 2: Cutthroat Politics[/u] [u]Location: Ishtar Sink, Venus[/u] Tarxis goes to Venus to gather help from the House of Winter. When you arrive to slay Tarxis, he kills a contender for the position of Winter Kell and takes his followers as his own. Tarxis then escapes before you can catch him. [u]Mission 3: Prison Break[/u] [u]Location: Prison of Elders, Reef[/u] With his new soldiers, Tarxis assaults the Prison of Elders to recruit the captured Wolf forces. Ultimately, Tarxis fails and his spacecraft is sent spinning off into space and crashes on Mars. [u]Strike: Kell's Ruin[/u] [u]Location: Exclusion Zone, Mars[/u] Tarxis has crash landed on Mars and has taken refuge with the Wolves. Eliminate him before he is able to return to Europa and disappear once again. ----------------------------------------- [b][u]New Enemies[/u][/b] [u]Shieldbearer:[/u] A Phalanx unit with a modified shield that is able to fire energy blasts. Inspired by Oryx's Taken Phalanxes. When killed, Shieldbearer drops his shield as a Relic. [u]Flame Colossus:[/u] This rare type of Colossus carries a flamethrower and takes less damage from solar attacks. [u]Psion Specialists:[/u] Having been shown the advantages of stealth by both the Fallen and Taken, these Psions are equipped with invisibility and used for reconnaissance and VIP assassinations.

        • Europa is a little too close to the 9's territory. I doubt a cabal fleet would be able to get anywhere near there.
