I think we are all aware of a little perk by the name of Hidden Hand. It has, for most part, taken over the weapon slot of almost everyone's snipers, primaries, and machine guns. . . and it needs to stop. Games have always had a little aim assist here and there, but you had to at least take the time to aim for the enemy players head. Now with weapons like Longbow-Synthesis and 1000-Yard Stare you can just randomly fire a shot and if your looking at someone, it'll kill them, or at least body shot them. All you need is Longview and Hidden Hand. A good friends of mine who have GOD role snipers have even said that they don't have to try as hard to snipe as they used to. This shouldn't be an option for Competitive players or anyone and it shouldn't be happening to weapons. It wasn't present in Year One and shouldn't have been introduced in Year Two. We need to teach players how to actually snipe and not rely on Target Aquisition or Aim Assist. Bungie did a good job with balancing snipers when they pretty much eliminated final round on snipers. Now I feel the same needs to happen to Hidden Hand and Sights that provide more Aim Assist to bring more balance to the Crucible. Do you Agree?

Such a subtle difference, if any. Hand cannons seem to benefit the most, and it's barely. I thought the hype was real, -blam!- Hidden Hand

Edited by Hunter-Max99: 7/18/2016 10:36:50 PMYeah go remove it. But you will see. Nothing. Absolutely Nothing will change. The perk is not noticeable on sniper rifles. The only situation where you see a change is in the bullet magnetism on handcanons.
-
Nope, still can't hit someone with a "God roll". Is my game broken?
-
Sure remove it from snipers, it does hardly anything. It's made for primaries and LMGs anyway. Maybe I can have better odds of an actual good roll.
-
Hidden Hand's the the only thing that makes hand cannons some what consistent.
-
It doesn't even do anything noticeable. I dismantle every weapon that has it

1 ReplyEdited by Bully_PEN: 7/20/2016 4:51:16 PMI have a 1000K Stare with Longview Triple tap Speed reload Hidden Hand but I actually prefer my Longview Synthesis with Shortgaze Last resort (meh) Snapshot/QuickDraw Hot Swap Because it's Blue 😏 And just feels better for me

I voted yes for idiot prevention only

1 ReplyFired a shot with my 1kyardstare with hidden hand while looking at someone and didnt even hit them... you lie

I swear, mother -blam!-ers, it's ROLL damnit. A role is completely different -blam!-ing word. Morons.

I didn't need hidden hand when I hip fired- headshot a titan shoulder charging me yesterday. I was ready for some hate mail on that. So to that guardian sorry I got lucky.

Who needs hidden hand https://youtu.be/1HSEvk9m-RA

Hidden Hand was introduced in House of Wolves, along with the brief reforging era btw.

Hidden hand isn't what makes snipers hard to counter unflinching does. Most people complain how snipers don't flinch when being shot at by a high impact scout rifle. But in my experience snipers flinch a crap ton when being shot by scout rifles the real reason snipers don't flinch is because unflinching is really popular. Although this is usually considered not as good as hidden hand it can be much more powerful especially if you have a sniper with QuickDraw and LongViewSLR10.

You're lost

Lets just get sticks then and smack each other. These endless posts on I hate this I hate that is so redundant. Its a game if you don't like it play something else. If you suck quit using lame excuses to pad your delicate egos and practice until you are better. This crap is ridiculous!

2 RepliesEdited by Ser Gimples III: 7/19/2016 10:38:11 AMSkill based weapons should be just that, skill based. Do snipers in real life have someone holding their hand when they shoot, nope. Do shotguns in real life have a 5 ft effective range like in destiny, no. People hunt with them. Spas 12 can kill from 60 meters. I would like to see someone survive a buckshot to the head in real life. I would assume future magic space shotguns would be a little effective, but you can't make a Montage unless you have 360blazeitaimassist quickscopes can you?
-
really? you would get sniped with or without aim assist. might as well die quickly and graciously. Side note: I do have a few snipers with hidden hand. I do not always use those snipers as I feel using the same crap over and over again is less challenging.

Get rid of the truly awful perks first like guerilla fighter and exhumed. All your doing is increasing the odds for even shittier gun rolls.
-
5 RepliesHidden hand was present in year 1. I put my year 1 red hand IX hand cannon on my Titan if you want to take a look.

8 RepliesI've said it before and I'll say it again: The ability to increase aim assist on a gun is a broken mechanic. All these sweaty tryhards want Destiny to be an e-sport but won't even acknowledge the fact that the majority of primary weapons in Destiny have an aim assist value high enough to curve bullets. I understand how Aim assist is a fundamental necessity on a console game but it should never reward inaccuracy. It is there to correct the inaccuracy of the controller, not the player. Players can use certain scopes and perks to make skill less of a factor and let the game do work for them. Destiny is at a point where the better of two seemingly equal guns is the aim assist value. That is pathetic.

No I do not agree. So you have a friend who said it's easier to snipe with? Well I guess Bungie better change the whole game then. I don't have hidden hand on anything I use in pvp btw. I'm a little bit over people complaining about pretty much anything.

3 RepliesPlease just move on to another game! We do not need whiners demanding nerfs because they cannot stay out of open spaces. :( Players like you only destroy Destiny instead of improving it!

1 ReplyThis poll makes me laugh. Everyone was all complaining about aim assist but apparently it's a case of take everyone else's aim assist but leave mine alone.

2 RepliesThanks for the tip. Will look for hidden hand more for my weapons. I love these tips and strategies posts...don't you?
