I've been thinking lately(i know i know, dangerous) and I was curious as to wether or not bungle had a trading system in thought or even process. I've thought of the pros and cons and I have to say, there's a lot more pros. Trading would not only let players engage with each other more in social areas, but it would also make getting help for missions a hell of a lot easier. Just think...if you've got some high level gear, or even some cool looking legendaries with the ability to infuse, you could offer that up as trade for help with a strike or mission! It would bring about a whole new group of players and keep the ones that are at max light, and practically done with the game, a new reason to quest/help other players.
Posting this here in hopes that higher ups will see it and at least consider it😁

2 RepliesI doubt it would happen. Bungie and Blizzard are sister companies. Blizzard told Bungie not to incorporate trading. It became a really big issue with Diablo 3.
-
No. And Bungie says no. Stop it.
-
I would like to buy high light level weapons and gear for real money instead of trading.
-
You can trade 1 item a week, legendary for a legendary, blue for a blue, no exotics and no raid/trials gear. This might work. Just throwing it out here.
-
Imo when you do things in a fireteam. Whatever it is, wether a strike or raid or whatever activity , when you complete it and your at the reward screen I think you should be able to trade those rewards with anyone in your fireteam. But only at the reward menu. If I get an eyesaluna and have 3 but my buddy got a party crasher and he has 10. Then if we choose to we can trade.....I think that's the best way to do it. Trading enabled at rewards screen upon activity completion , but only if your in a fireteam
-
I am not for this unless they had some fair way to do trades, like an exotic for an exotic. If not, then people are going to say something along the lines of, "Hey, I have a Khvostov 7G-02. I'll give it to you for a Mida Multi-Tool."
-
No because then there would a whole economy in destiny. People would run the economy and make everything ridiculous. Just keep trading out if destiny for ever
-
Silly noobs.
-
What if upon trading something the item was set to 3 light... Then you'd need to infuse it and it could only be as high level as you. Also quest items bind on pickup, only RNG items are tradeable. I think that sounds fair.
-
This game is all about grinding! So it aren't going to happen!
-
maybe a contract system. player A(the one in need) could post a contract for help with whatever they need, post the gear they're offering and player B(the one helping) would turn in the contract after completion

-
No this would break the game. This will never be a thing in this game.
-
2 RepliesFor those saying people would charge real money, why not simply tell them no and find someone else? sure it could be a thing for a while but eventually that type of "trade" would die out.

no . the last thing I need is.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dkkf5NEIo0

1 ReplyEdited by Stupid Shinji: 7/17/2016 2:57:01 PMNope, blizzard gave them a list of what not to do, trading was at the very top. Any form of trading will lead to duplication software and people just collecting God rolls and selling them for real money. Yes we could try different styles of trading (the division, borderlands, neverwinter as examples of 3 games with somewhat different trading styles) but infinitely the risk is not worth the reward. Many games that have allowed trading have been forced to ban innocent players (who just bought what they thought was a legit weapon) for using illegally copied gear, leading to huge losses of players.

I have 12 iron gjallarhorns for trade. Only $100 USD each or 3 for $250. Get them while supplies last. (Collects money from people throwing it at screen... All tax free)
-
I'd rather that you can select rewards; either what you have gotten or what a fireteam member has gotten. This has recently been implemented to warframe for endgame gear and it works so well.
-
1 ReplyThey had the idea originally. They debated back & forth with having it for months. They decided not to in the end
-
1 ReplyTrading like in The Division could work. But the downside is that someone who just started playing could hit level 40 and then almost automatically be 335 if they are playing with a more established player.
-
How about you can only trade once every month, because it's OP
-
An equivalent exchange must be implemented for it to somewhat work.
-
2 RepliesI can imagine people taking people flawless for a god rolled weapon or armor piece the other people has... It just wouldn't work.
-
Here's my idea of trading. More like rental services. 1. The weapon / armor to be rented out must be fully upgraded with all perks unlocked. Light level must be 280 and above. 2. Have a kiosk at tower to let player put it out for rent for a week starting from armsday reset. Cost of renting per item: 30LM for a week. LM is split 50:50 between Bungie and the player. 3. The player (B) who pick up the item will have it a week of use. And the item's light level is capped at 280 light. 4. (B) can return the item anytime at his convenience by either pressing the delete button or wait until armsday reset. 5. OG who rented out the item will have it back to his inventory.

6 RepliesMaybe an idea is that you can only trade a gun that you already have or have owned in the past, no harm, no foul
-
Not a big enough loot table. That and people would abuse the system by selling stuff for real money.
