Hey my question is the sunbreaker subclass with the updates and nerfs still good for soloing content and doing raids? Or should I just join the defender train?

Edited by Justin Shock: 7/16/2016 3:11:27 AMPeople generally like to bitch at you when you try and raid with them without having defender with weapons of light. Plus defender has a sticky grenade like sunbreaker that's probably even better damage-wise. Downside, defender's best codex loadout gives you shit for agility. I like sunbreaker with the sticky grenades and the more hammers for most PvE events though, it's like having a rapid-fire low damage rocket launcher. Striker seems to be pretty tits right now in crucible, but a sunbreaker can lay down some decent damage to multiple enemies and teammates can come in behind to mop up if you can coordinate. The advantage of fist of havoc though is that you can come out of nowhere with it, people tend to just avoid a glowing yellow murder machine by running away. Upside, sunbreaker can be used in a pinch to activate the bonus shield when you're in the thick of it and you can stay mobile.

Defender best for raids All 3 great for pve, just depends on your play style, warning tho I have learned you need to be really aggressive as a strike for it to be great in pve, the other 2 you can be passive, or passive aggressive and still be golden

3 RepliesI like all of them, but prefer Sunbreaker for anything but Trials- for that, I move to Striker. The flexibility of the Sunbreaker for every game type in PvP and PvE is honestly very good, but it's oddly low damage resistance means you must be careful deploying it, especially in PvP. Also- Hammer tracking does not work, just use Explosive Pyre. It can out DPS near any other class in the game with Sunspots, and has more destructive capabilities than near every other super. Melting point on the melee also makes it extremely useful for boss fights, with a similar effect to tether in damage changing. We are titans- we can punch a boss in the face.

2 RepliesDepends on what you're doing. Raids: Defender is usually the best. Strikes: Any PvP: Striker for fun. Sunbreaker for Hammertime. Defender for showing you got dem skillz

I like all of them. PvE = Defender (Bae) PvP = Striker and Sunbreaker but i play striker more.

3 RepliesStriker. Defender requires skills, less than 5% uses them.

5 RepliesDefenders are always going to be more beneficial when coming to Raids. But you can still play the way you want to play. Sunbreakers are a fun class and good for most PvE content. But like I said, more people are going to want you to be a Defender if you're raiding.

4 RepliesPve is easy. You can literally use any subclass.
