ATT Arris NVG510 Motorola
Does anyone know how to setup Open NAT on an Arris NVG510? I have contacted ATT and they wont help. They try and charge for the information. I have been to several sites and followed their instructions but never reached Open NAT. Right now it is Moderate NAT. My son is getting disconnected from crucibles. I would hate for him to get restricted or banned because of ATT.

11 RepliesI'm not sure if the 510 has it or not but I know the newer models do. Look for "allow anonymous ip pass through". It may be under firewall or security. ATT, Comcast and others are notorious for having modem/router combos that can't obtain nat type 1. If you can't get it with that modem, you may want to attach another router to the network and set the ATT modem/router combo to bridge mode. One excellent router is the tp-link wrn1043 v3. It's a great gaming router for 50$ on Amazon. Hope this helps.
