According to the statistics at guardian.gg, it is clear that shoulder charge is the worst possible perk selection in every game mode.

Go down to the final perk, and you will see that the k/d is the worst for shoulder charge. You can change the game mode at the top and shoulder charge is the worst choice in every mode. In fact, the only final perk in any game mode that makes strikers go negative atm is shoulder charge in trials.

The fact that it's sitting at 83% utilisation proves that. There's no other perk with a utilisation that high, and only super-oriented perks come close (Fireborn in Trials hits 98% [wow], but seriously, who in trials [i]isn't[/i] going to use self-res when given the chance?) Shoulder Charge doesn't need nerfing, there needs to be a better trade off to using it, like making Juggernaut better or something.

Ive been wrecked mid shoulder charge (I'm bad at crucible anyway lol) but the way some people counter it is amazing. Why ppl are crying about it is beyond sense

It kind of makes you feel cocky when you get like two kills with it. And because of that, you end up getting yourself killed with it more than you actually getting kills with. Mk. Stand Asides are cool though because you can just sprint and then when the opportunity is there, you'll most likely have the chance to use that long awaited SC.

My striker titan and my Warlock can both survive a shoulder charge hit. It's so funny seeing someone crash into you and you just punch them to death before they know what's happened!

I mainly use it for mobility. I might get 2-3 kills a day with it when I play striker. I'll get much more if I'm being a filthy troll in the inferno playlists though...

I think you misrepresent what the data shows. If there was an even split between the three perks then the KD for each would be a good qualifier of usefulness. But seeing as the other two have extremely low use and KD only slightly higher than shoulder charge--that does not show them as the better choice
