Sterling treasure drop rates are horrible!
Can we please start addressing how low the drop rates are for everything except the spektar gear?
Edit: Out of the 42 possible packages (3 each week since the update) I have gotten 7 pieces total of desolate gear. That is 1/6 packages for me, I have yet to see any of the ships, or sparrow yet. They really should take a look at these drop rates.

1 ReplyI honestly want more boosters except crucible I have a few of those. I gave up on the Desolate gear (is that what it's called) I have a complete set, it's just crosses all 3 of my characters I just want to be able to do the taken tick dammit

RNG is Random. I got everything out of the boxes including both ships and the sparrow and full desolate gear without buying any of the boxes and only opening two a week.

1 ReplyIt would make sense that sterling treasures that you get from gameplay are lame. That is one of the things that bungie wants you to pay for. I would imagine that if you spent actual money on them that you would get better stuff for it. No saying i agree with this practice but i do see the greedy ass logic behind it.

I got both ships, the sparrow and a full set of desolated gear for my Hunter. I'm lucky I guess.

Increase drop rates yes please! Need a full set for my other characters. Increase weapon drops for factions while you're at it please! And thank you 👍🏻

They know that people want the desolate set and the taken emote. Reduced desolate drop rates are to encourage you to buy sterling treasure with silver.

At first the Desolate gear was dropping about half the time for me. In the 1st month I had a full set of Desolate gear including the class item after only opening 12 packages. Since then I've only received two pieces. I make sure to open the packages on the same character in order to hopefully get the Desolate gear for that class. At first that strategy seemed to work. Now it's just like you said. Hardly dropping. IDK, could this have been nerfed by Bungie to try and increase SIlver purchases? We'll never know but it wouldn't surprise me.

I just want the spektar warlock boots. Cannot seem to get those bastards to drop.

I really wanted the cloak for my hunter and got it. And the ship. I have not seen the sparrow yet, that's probably pretty cool. But I'm not really worried about the taken armor. But it does look kinda cool

For me it is a 1 out of 14 chance of getting desolate armor.

Yeah the drop rate blows goat ass I just finished of that set of armor the ships and the Sparrow when some people got the full set within 5 weeks.

I quit Prison of Elders last week because it is not worth the grind. I still do Challenge of Elders. I still do the weekly crucible for the sterling treasure.

Got the ships, sparrow, full taken titan gear, and had most of hunter taken gear about a month ago. Only got maybe 75% of the free ones, and never bought any. Havent opened any in a bit.
