Things that REALLY need to change in Rise of Iron

1. Being able to join people immediately while on patrol instead of being sent back to orbit and then back into the session. 2.On the note of patrol, there should be 6 person patrols available. There is literately no reason it is no available now (not needed, but would be nice). 3.Give options for matchmaking preferences. If someone wants to find a good connection let them. If someone want to have a skill based match let them. If they want a skilled match with a good connection then let the players have that too. 4.On the subject of crucible add in custom games. 5.Give ships an actual ability. You can't just show the damn thing dropping off ammo and then pretend they can't do that any more. It could be limited to just strikes and story mission as well if you really want to think having more ammo is OP or just have a small bomb drop outside. 6.Have actual differentiating sparrows. For the love of God please do not slap another skin on the sparrows we already have and call it something new, give us something truly unique. 7. Make foundry weapons actually unique. As it is only the Hakke Pulse rifles are any different than normal one and that is because they shoot 4 bullets. 8.Add in game LFG. Most other games that are even remotely MMO-esque have this feature where you can find parties that are looking for a group on a bulletin board, join them, and if the group allows you can join on, it even lets you post things like levels or gear that you want people to have. 9.Better and more rewarding patrol missions. Patrolling is a bit boring and people often skip over it for better things. There should be more difficult and fun mission to get players to patrol more especially if they off a better reward. 10.More rewards for other activities. Most of the time it takes someone forever to get that one weapon they want, and then by that time, there is usually another expansion underway (this includes raids, nightfalls, and crucible). 11. On the subject of raids, the gear needs to have something to set it apart from other weapons and make them better than normal legendaries. This is going against the highest level content in the game at that moment and players should be rewarded with powerful gear or at least gear that is better in some way. Also, please do not just put one archetype of each weapon in, it would be rather nice to get a different raid scout than someone else and collectors would go nuts. 12.If you are going to have events again then at the very least make sure they are good. I honestly thought SRL really had potential but TWO MAPS? You really expected people to not get bored of that? Don't get me started on the valentines crap either, a modified game type does not qualify as an event. 13. Allow people to Blacklist players. Again, another good feature from MMO's. With this players often have a title, emblem, etc. next to their name and players are even notified that these people are not to be trusted when they try to join their party or those players try to join them (Hackers, Cheaters, and Assholes in general are usually given these). 14.Make all exotics from year 1 available, improve year 2 exotics, and make year 3 exotics actually worthwhile. Seriously, year 2 exotics just sucked so badly that most people went back to year 1 weapons anywho. Please, do not repeat this in year 3. 15.Remove all shaders. In their place just give people a wheel, give special options for more animated shaders (for that matter make the taken effect a special option). Also, allow people to select the colors of their weapons. 16. Add all Crucible maps and strikes to their respective playlists. Also, make an actual cycling system for both. Unless people are farming for something NO ONE likes to play the same strike 3 times in a row. 17. Allow people to choose what they want from a package, but keep the rolls random. There is no reason that someone should have to open about 20 packages and get a helmet or chest piece each time. 18.Bring back reforging. On the note of finally getting what you want, most people get just that, but then get a roll that makes it completely and utterly useless. 19. Get rid of perks that do nothing to help the weapon or are of rarely of any use to the players, also do not add any more. This started in HoW and is now ever worse in TTK. Please, do not let it continue in Rise of Iron 20. On a note of unneeded things, Either get rid of artifacts or make them actually useful in year 3. I have almost never had the effects of any of my artifact come in handy. 21. Armor at the very least should have a vanity slots. There are some pretty marvelous year 1 armors that are being overlooked or no longer in use and it would nice to see them make a return and astound year 3 players. 22. Increase all currency caps. There is absolutely no reason that a game that does not have a good shop system or trading system should have such low caps on their currencies. I should not have to store hundreds of an item just to make sure I have glimmer or legendary marks when the next big thing hits. 23. Finally, Get a community manager that will actually interact with us and find out what we want. Don't just put a figure head up that will give announcement or smart ass comments from time to time. If you have anything you would like to add feel free to. Edit: I should explain how blacklisting works in other games. You have to actually make formal complaints against other players and not just click the report button. The company then looks at the data of reports in game and reads actual reports or comments about said player within the community to see if what is being said is true then the blacklist is set upon them. If done correctly pretty much only cheaters, hackers, or the generally unwanted players (Trolls, Team Killers, or people who are known to be downright uphelpful) will get the emblem, title, and etc. and the message will be displayed when they try to join a party or you try to join theirs. Edit 2: People keep saying something about my Tone, but I honestly don't see what "Tone" I am using in a text based list. Not even demanding anything here, just listing stuff that would be better for quality of life for the players and the game honestly. If you disagree that is fine because we are all different and have differentiating opions. On another note I was not saying fire Deej or Cosmo. Games have multiple community managers that handle different things. Also, reforging, if people remembered, was still RNG based...even if you got the weapon you wanted you were not guaranteed to even get that roll you wanted from reforging it. They can only handle a total of 25 enemies in each "bubble" and (I think) only 6 people in each public bubble. Having a 6 man fireteam would require them to completely remove matchmaking temporarily for said fireteam, and would, once again, not be a worthwhile investment of developer time. [/quote] No for 2 reasons. 1: This would make everyone opt for the most overpowered ship in the game, when it should really just be a cosmetic choice. 2: There actually was a similar type thing in the E3 video (ships having a drop-off animation) but it was scrapped to preserve a consistent framerate. Either it requires strategy, coordination and teamwork or it's a confusing clusterfùck of impossibly high-level adds. Raid gear helps boost you in raids. Anything else would become a nuisance (You need to have a raid helmet to complete ToO). So no.       24. Open up the borders and make more clan activities. 25. Make actual missions that have a sense of exploration, imagination... not let's make gamers run backwards through old strike areas and a couple doors and you reach the end like the Black spindle mission. We want actual new content... stop making us run backwards through content we have already done a thousand times... 26. Please do not add another consumable like 3OC. It takes away the sense of value in a exotic knowing exotics are being used for a material for progression. Fix your RNG and stop using other means to justify the messed up RNG. 27. In making weapons, make weapons that work across the entire bored. Meaning both PvP and PvE. 28. Separate the balance between PvP and PvE. There is no reason to have the same balance in both event's. 29. If your going to make perks for weapons and gear make them work in both event's. Shank burn is not something anyone can say was something PvE needed. Make more perks for PvE. 30. Pleas remove having to go into the main menu just to load a senth. Apply it to the d-pad or something. In PvE in a middle of a battle or whatever you want to call it. I shouldn't have to go hide to load a heavy and having the chance of getting hit while I'm in the menu or die because having to go into the main menu. 31. Public event's. Can we have new ones that are not put in the same spot on every single planet. Mix it up and put different types in different areas. Or have a rotation on them to switch them up. seeing the same fallen walker in the same spot for 2 years is getting old. Opining up the borders allows for the opportunity to have world bosses and a chance with that on adding new vehicles...

    • Well this sounds like it would be better titled as a Destiny 2 wishlist or something, this would never happen with the expansion 2 months away. But for Destiny 2 would be possible maybe, also.....I think having the Exotic helmets changing the HUD would be very dope(Inlcuding health and shield bars)

    • You just make too much sense :) You read a lot of these and you see a pattern. Bungie feels they need useless perks or shaders as rewards to keep us grinding (carrot and stick). I get it. It extends the life of the content. I think a lot of the items you addressed would help alleviate much of that. With regards to Deej, I agree. He's not just a community manager either. I watched every Bungie spot during E3 and what he was doing was product promotion. I thought it was odd for a community manger to be doing functions that are associated with marketing & sales.

      • With exception of #15, I can agree with this. The one thing about ships that I think we should be able to do is have a dogfight crucible mode or have a story mission about fighting off Fallen ships above Widow's Court or something.

        • Can you also please add "ditch the rotating meta model?" There are a number of reasons why TTK is not much fun to play compared to Y1, but #1 on my list of things that makes me most angry is the rotating meta. Nothing is more frustrating than grinding your butt off for a specific weapon and when you get it with a decent roll, low and behold, it gets nerfed.

            • Either: A) Get rid of all the crappy perks or B) Add re-rolling Both would just create the same problem we had with HoW. Personally, I think Iron Banner guns should be the only guns that can be re-rolled. That way, everyone has access to the same pool of weapons that can be re-rolled. It's a PvP event, why not let the PvP folks have their cake and eat it too?

              • I remember in year one the ghost was just some crap that took up space in our inventory and said "HERE COMES THE HIVE!" all the damn time. At least dinklebot was better than year two ghost voice.

                • i really just want the reward system of packages to be better. I am sooooo sick of getting armor from crucible packages and I still have not gotten one -blam!-ing longbow!!!

                  • Let us modify our guys by changing one perk on it at the expense of say 10 strange coins, that way i can get third eye on all my guns.

                  • Also, performance based rewards should be a thing. In the sense that the better you do (higher k/d, more kills, more objective plays etc), the higher your chance is at getting crucible legendaries

                  • Support on almost everything especially having all strikes/crucible maps in the rotation(with some exceptions like bastion and those other maps shouldnt be in 3v3 playlists) Also a field of view increase if thats really viable this late in the game(im pretty sure it is for 3rd person since theres already cases where you zoom out signifcantly with no issue)

                  • Just one other thing you've missed ... matchmaking for raids. Cos I'm fed up of not being able to get a team together or not being accepted on one cos I've not done the raid before !!!!! I've bought the game I expect that I have the right to complete the story arcs. Even if it means match making mode does not award me raid gear. At least when I've run it a few times I could then get in to a fire team !!!!
