I've been stuck on 300 light for a month
I don't get it. How do I raise my light level . I play solo cause non of my friends irl play.
I identify every item and fragment 1 by 1. 3 days and I manged to go from 305 to 306.
Do I gotta pvp? to get 335 light. Cause story mode is shit gear

Shaxx Bounties (have been known to give higher light level bounties) 4. Iron Banner 5. LFG and do the raid. 6. Nightfall is solo friendly right now as well, not a guarantee'd drop but you could get a higher light weapon or exotic. Happy hunting Guardian

Impossible. These posts baffle me. I'm sure it's been told many times so I'm not going into all the easy ways to raise your light.... [i]WAIT. HOLD UP I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING [/i] Iron Banner was last week. If you're 300 after banner has passed then you missed a golden opportunity Anyway back to the post. Just always, always, ALWAYS decrypt engrams AND PICK UP PACKAGES at your MAX light. 3oC are your friend.

1 Replyi haven't looked at your characters but you should be trying to do your coe weekly and coo for the artifacts. especially if you don't plan on raiding.. gunsmith test weapons rank up packages can drop up to 330 (depending on light) to help with your primary infusion..

I started to do a lot of bounties for vanguard and patrols, when you rank up with them wear your highest light items; they will give you something with a light that is comparable to that. I have also gone exotic engram farming, my hubby has had great results with that. You would want to do the same thing with the vanguard as the cryptarch, wear all your highest light stuff and you should get items that are comparable with your light. I am not much of a pvp, and haven't done any raids but this seems to have worked for me. I am now at a 320 light level.

I've almost exclusively soloed this game. The following will get you gear up to 330 - Vanguard Rank up, Crucible Rank up, Faction Rank up. You can get gear up to 335 with the following - Heroic Strike drops (kinda rare though), the Crucible Weekly Bounties (requires finishing the Mountain Top quest line), Court of Oryx Tier 3 (has to be your Rune, best bet for higher light artifacts), Exotic Engram using 3 of coins, and Iron Banner. Note that in most cases the light level of the gear you get is based on your current light level so make sure to equip the highest light gear when getting Rank up packages, turning in the weekly crucible bounty, decrypting exotic engrams, and playing Court of Oryx and Iron Banner. Another option is to also do Champion of Elders. You can post that you need 2 people on the Recruitment page play through 2 or 3 times to finish your sigil and you'll at least get one weapon and one armor upto 335.

one of my buds has never done a raid (KF, VoG or Crota!) will not do the new PoE or CoE, and yet he is a 327 right now! he just patrols, turns in bounties, ranks up factions, etc. he really moves up quite a bit with Iron Banner. if you don't PvP, you should at least do IB as that will rank you up easily and quickly, despite whether you win or lose.
