Hello
I play Destiny in Spanish because of my location. Normally the translations are more or less correct. But one error in particular that irates me in the crucible is when the opposing team is about to win and Lord Shaxx says "Defeat was near" instead of "Defeat is near". Which is close but not grammatically correct and it sounds like we were able to thwart defeat when in reality we are getting our butts handed to us.
I know it's a small thing, but it still is incorrect. I know translations of this magnitude aren't cheap and you might want to ask your translation company to recheck the grammar on all their translations.
Thank you for reading this.

3 RepliesI thought it was freaking awesome that Cozmo took the time to respond to this. I LOL'ed at the statement the localization team sent you! Awesome stuff, too bad so many others in this thread though otherwise. Amazing how something as simple as another language can lead to such intolerance.

7 RepliesThanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention. I sent this to the Localization team and they wanted me to give you this reply.
¡Hola!
23 RepliesThe easiest thing would be for everybody to make English their primary language. It's going to be eventually anyway.

What started as a simple feedback comment has become a political issue. It is a pity that there is so much intolerance in these forums and so much hatred towards any other culture that is not from the US. I had forgotten why I didn't post but thanks to a few keyboard warriors, it has become clear again.

4 RepliesIt's a can of worms. You get people complaining about one language, then the snowball of every language comes out. But they should have native speakers of any language they publish in check the game.

4 RepliesDude they translated "Murmur" to "Murmullo", which is bullshit, Murmur is the name of a demon according to key of solomon, and 'murmullo" means whisper, another example is ghost they translated it "espectro" when the proper translation is "fantasma", and "espectro" means specter
