A week of zhalo supercell. Is that the weapon diversity you were talking about?
You removed all elemental primaries but ONE.
ALL WEEK EVERYONE HAS USED JUST ONE in the heroic strikes due to arc modifier.
The problem with bungie is they just CANT admit they were wrong.

1 ReplyLol I've been thinking this all week. Just imagine, we could have been using Fatebringer or Fang or Ir Yut, Nechrochasm, Oversoul Edict, etc. There would have been way more options if they hadn't -blam!-ed up and left all the Year 1 guns behind. They all need to be brought back, and that includes all elemental primaries. Additionally, I'm totally on board with the idea of a single-use consumable, which you can earn once per week on each character, that would add an elemental burn to any kinetic weapon you choose. This would create a lot of weapon diversity as everyone would be able to put a burn on their favorite primaries and voila, instant weapon diversity when burns are on.

1 ReplyAn easy fix would be to have a consumable that changes the element of any kinetic weapon for a limited time. Make it useable only in PvE, and last maybe long enough for an encounter. Having enemies shielded with elements that make them immune or resistant to kinetic or any other element is a nightmare for trying to kill any enemy that is already a bullet sponge.

3 RepliesI saw the best idea ever. Someone said they should make kinetic shields and have kinetic burns some weeks. That way they could make elemental primaries AND kinetic secondaries and heavies.

Its really odd to me, that I have to dig a y1 weapon out of the vault (thats under level) to complete a bounty quickily. Why can't it be current? Why aren't there new weapons aswell to compete? Even if they are just reskins? It can't be that difficult, they've done it in the past.

Zhalo all time fav gun in year 2 because it's the only good year 2 gun. Make more like it in destiny 2 or you will never hear the end of it bungie. You know players like me will never stop telling you about your stupid choices like when you removed elemental primaries.

1 ReplyI think there should be an exotic primary where the burn changes depending on what subclass you are running. Example void walker would have void burn or stormcalker would be arc burn. Thoughts anyone?

Three weeks, actually. We had arc burn three weeks out of four. I think my oft-neglected warlock might have been my most-played Guardian a few times (he's exclusively Stormcaller), and for me that's saying something (I was T-T-H for most of my playing history).

With shall arms also being a modifier yr1 elementals also work quite well, albeit not as well as zhalo

I think Bungie is using this against us. We have had 3 weeks of arc burn in the past month for heroics. With the discussion of wanting primaries with elemental damage back, Bungie will now say.... "You see it -blam!-s up weapon diversity when you put an element on primaries?" If we had more elemental primary weapons, this would never have been an issue.
