MW2- "Loose Ends" on Veteran difficulty. worst checkpoint ever!!!!!!!!
So I'm pretty close to completing all the Modern warfare 2 missions on veteran. the only missions I have to complete are "Contingency", "Loose Ends", "Enemy of my enemy", "just like old times", and Endgame.
So I decided to save Contigency for later because I can never seem to make it to the sub within the two minutes. So I decided to choose "loose ends" so I defend the house from the russians, grab the little data drive and start hauling butt to the LZ. If you've played MW2 you would know that on your way to the LZ, you're being pursued by a large amount of russian soldiers. so Halfway betweent the house and the LZ I get trapped between A massive amount of russian soldiers. Right as I die, I get a checkpoint...MW2 checkpoints come up pretty often which has helped me out a lot until this moment. So when the game loads up again, I've already taken two shots, and on veteran difficulty you can only endure 3 direct hits before the 4th one kills you. so I only have a very short window to sprint to cover. Even if I do Sprint to cover, I'm still being bombarded by mortar fire, and ahead of me there are 8-9 more hostiles. You can imagine just how annoying it was to restart and die 5 seconds later...

MW2 was so easy on Veteran, I finished it in a night. Just throw flash bangs as often as you need to. Spec Ops is also a joke on Veteran.

I never go "Rambo" on the enemies just blindly charging. I decided that I'm gonna restart the level and when I get to this part again I'm going to take cover in one of the little barn houses off to the right and Kill the as many as I can before heading down the little hill, which is where I keep dying.

That part was a pain. I would suggest restarting, then saving as soon as you finish loading the drive. I hugged along the left side, then flashbanged constantly and ran like hell.

Flashbang anything that moves and then run. Unlike your enemies you don't go spazzy when a flash goes off so it's fine to go a little blind for awhile. I didn't find veteran hard by any means, I got 69 stars on Spec Ops with my brother who had never played CoD before within a week of getting CoD and I have a K/D of 2.27 because I don't act like an idiot. MW2 is very easy due to the absurd amount of aim assist and flash/stuns being amazing in campaign.

I've got russians firing at me in front of me and behind me along with mortar fire. and the checkpoint starts me off with two hits I took as I got the checkpoint. The checkpoint is 102 meters from the LZ I've only gotten as far as 82 so far.

Mile High Club was the easiest thing of all time. I can beat it on my first try even today. One shot one kill was easy because i was cheap and hid behind that wall, and got lucky as hell when i picked captain mcmillian up. No fighting in the war room, my god, those hallways. They can see you from 2 points. 2 shots and you're dead. By the time you have killed one of them, the other on the other hall has got you dead. If you advance, there is bound to be 330392040 guys with shotguns in that hall that 1 hit you. I couldn't take it when i was 3 inches away from a checkpoint and a guy pops from a corner and r@pes me.

Pick up a L86 LSW or another LMG. It helped alot for me. Also, use the ACR Pro Pipe on groups of enemies. Pro pipe is n00b tube if you didnt know. [Edited on 03.20.2010 5:22 PM PDT]
