No I do NOT want bungie to ban these players.. I want these players to read this and maybe begin to understand that they are personally responsible for other people getting banned.. First please let me explain how the peer-2-peer connection actually works.. While many of you wrongly believe that P2P connection always chooses the host with the best internet speeds you are vastly wrong by thinking so.. Peer-2-Peer multiplayer gaming more often than not will choose the host based on their proximity to other players.. Thus it will choose the central player in the region..This is done in order to provide the lowest possible PING between the host and all other players in the game.. For example lets say that there are 12 players in a Crucible match. 5 of those players are on the West coast of the United States..6 of those players are on the East coast of the Unted States. and there is 1 player in Kansas.. The system will choose the player in Kansas as the host of this game because of his location in regards to the rest of the players in the game.. This happens because the player in Kansas will have the lowest PING to all of the other players. If the system chose one of the players from the East coast the ping to the west coast players would be very lopsided and unfair when it comes to latency.. Now let me explain how players with Faster Internet speeds will see other players lag more often.. The Average Online gamer has less than 25 megs upload and 6 megs download speeds.. However EVERYONE that has higher speeds will always see these players as being laggy... YOUR higher speeds are at fault NOT theirs.. Your higher speed does not mean that they are lagging.. it simply means that they are a few miliseconds behind you.. However more often than not YOU will get frustrated and come to these forums and cry foul... Then Bungie begins to ban players that have done nothing wrong other than not have speeds equal to yours.. Stop being elitist.. this kind of thinking is a cancer that destroys gaming at its core. Edit:: For all of you that still attempt to discredit my knowledge please refer to the following link..
