With the Valus Ta'aruc strike being the Nightfall, grinding for the Treads Upon Stars has become as easy as it was to get the Grasp of Malok. However, is the scout worth grinding for the perfect roll?
What are you guys' opinions? Is it worth trying to find a PvP roll or should I just keep using the Hung Jury, Tuonela, Suros Dis (either one), etc.?

2 RepliesHow can this be farmed like omnigul?
-
Got a crowd control hidden hand and armour piercing rounds.
-
I got one with OAS, high caliber rounds, Hidden hand, and zen moment....it's pretty good but I don't know if it's worth grinding for....maybe if you're looking for a good pve roll or something
-
It is a good scout rifle. But there are other good scout rifles. It isn't worth it if you have a good Hung Jury, DIS 43 etc.
-
I'd say it is. It's my favorite primary. The rolls make or break it though. Mine: Crowd Control Perfect balance/ braced frame Firefly Triple Tap Braced Frame/AP rounds Firefly Triple tap Perfect balance Hidden Hand
-
Its not as good as the other scouts you mentioned. But its a solid workhorse with the right perks.
-
Did you get the vendor stock hung jury, before vendors changed rolls? If so, what roll would you need to stop using it? If no, why?
-
Got one with crowd control and reactive reload
-
If your really willing for a god PvE roll, you can get firefly/crowd control. I may grind for an attempt at it.

4 RepliesJust wait for the gunsmith to sell the"Cocytus SR4"

In my opinion there are better guns in the same arch type with better stats and easy to get rolls, my favorite being Dis-43
-
I like my treads, crowd control with firefly. My mid choices include braced frame and explosive rounds. I find it fun.
-
See bro? Ask a simple question...get all that salt. :)
-
Nope. It's worse than hung jury base stats, and that old hung jury vendor roll I'd perfect.

19 RepliesAs far scout rifles go in this current weapon tuning the tread upon stars is a good scout rifle for long to mid range encounters, but is definitely outclassed by The NL Shadow 701X due to faster fire rate with the same punch that a Hung Jury or Colevances Duty has. That combined with a great roll will leave your enemies in the crucible trembling to find themselves in a 1v1 scenario against you after the first fight.

Its great. Crowd control, explosive rounds n hidden hand on mine. Pve= awesome Pvp= no thanks. Depends on your play style.
-
I have one with triple tap, explosive rounds and outlaw. I love it for pve
-
It can roll crowd control with max reload & reactive reload....so yeah it is worth imo. Plus if you like the cosmetics of vision of confluence, it looks like it kind of
-
Worth it for sure. I have a good pve one on my titan.

Edited by lordtacolord: 7/8/2016 12:09:50 AMno. buy scout rifles from the gunsmith, wait until he has your dream roll, and skip doing the nightfall a billion times. banshee sells a number of good scouts, personally, I prefer suros, but you can look up his potential wares and the base stats online so you can hand pick what you want to watch for.

It's meh at best

Edited by lee293: 7/8/2016 12:06:30 AMMy hunter has a pretty good roll

A god roll is triple tap and firefly
-
3 Repliescheck my warlock. Is that a good tread upon stars roll?
-
I have a few in the vault and dismantled many. It's ordinary I feel unless you get a sweet roll.

Nope,
