Antiquated rune drop rate is garbage
I farmed court for 3 hours popping stolen and reciprocal runes and not getting any. I'm very disappointed because all my friends were getting them every other round even when they didn't use a rune. Help

1 ReplyThat's just a run of bad luck. If you need it for an artifact, just go with the Stolen Runes. They'll give you an RNG dropped Artifact up to 335 (as long as it's your rune to start and not another players). It seems they drop fairly frequently, too. If it's for the fragments, I think it can be anyone's Rune. I might be wrong on that, though.

Do the raid . You know the 1st hidden chest where 2 people stand on the platforms to open the gate for the ship jumping puzzle ? Theres a door that opens up also to the 1st hidden chest will most likely give you an antiquated ruin.

Never dropped for me! I only got them from leveling up crotas bane and opening those locked loot chests around the dreadnaught.

6 RepliesMy friends were getting them even though they weren't using the runes. In all my time playing destiny I've never had one. My inventory is not full. I rarely even get stolen or reciprocal runes to drop

2 RepliesCan't you buy one ?! Just talk to the freaky cloth over 3 broken eyes lady ... Goes by Eris , used to be kinda cute ... She's got the goods ... She creeps on the vanguard and crucible area in the crawl space behind the stairs ... Where the spiders probably are.

3 RepliesDo you know how court of oryx works? You first need a common one and have to trade it up towards a rare one by killing enemies. And then rare to legendary. However it only works if you're entering the rune. A rune will not drop for you if someone else activated one.

That's so true. I've farmed court atleast an hour per day for the last week and still had no antiquated rune. Come to think to it, during my whole time playing ttk, i had only antiquated rune ever.

Ya right I'm trying to get my friend a 335 artefact but it's impossible just getting him one we have tried everything

You can farm Taken zealots and Dreadnaught bosses (at least) for reciprocal runes. I have hundreds of the things, so you shouldn't have any problem there. Eris bounties often give runes too.

I have 20 antiquated runes ready to use on each character You can get them by grabbing the chests in the raid, leveling up Eris, or court of oryx but those a rare.' You may also get them from doing the Eris bounty thing that you get for doing the court of oryx.

Don't farm the court. Farm the taken champions on patrol.. better luck probably.

I delete at least 4 each week. It's sad I have almost 500 tier 1 ruins.

The raid is the best place to win Antiquated Runes.
