For all those who have participated in armsday, you know that there are three foundries we can order guns from- Suros, Hakke, and Omolon. To me, it was strange that Tex Mechanica, the makers of the Last Word, would not have guns for order.
After some searching, I came across the grimoire card "City Age: 2", which details the dialogue between two Tex Mechanica representatives and Archite 99-40. In the exchange, the Tex Mechanica reps try to get Archite/Shaxx to fix Crucible matches.
This brought me to the conclusion that maybe it is possible that due to this level of corruption amongst Tex Mechanica, their weapons have been banned in the Tower, or are maybe on probation.
Am I missing something, or does this seam like a logical reason to why we can't order Tex Mechanica guns?

Edited by Huggable_Cacti_: 7/13/2016 7:39:51 PMTheres other weapon manufacturers out there. Like crux/lomar, daito, and nadir. (Found out the other foundry) Nct is the main weapons manufacturer. Its what most legendary weapons we see the crucible and vanguard quartermasters sell

Tex Mechanica's weapons are specialty pieces. They are a company founded not to outfit Guardians or protect the City, but for profit. They are not a big-name company, but a small business looking to grow.
-
Its because their guns are trash as stated in City Age 2

4 RepliesLook... as much as I want new foundries, first! I need bungie to embrace what they have and flesh them out. I want every foundry we have to give us all types of weapon archetypes. Imagine a suros sniper, a hakke LMG, an omolon pulse, a suros hand cannon. These things need to be in the game. Also, I want the weapons, ALL weapons to sound different, I'm tired of every pulse/hand cannon/scout/auto rifle sounding the same. Besides the foundry weapons, but they all sound exactly like one another. I'd like for all weapons to he more unique, and not sound like they were all made by the same dude

We'll probably be able to in risk of iron
-
Nadir in RoI
-
The corruption theory fits with the chaperone quest, which involves a bribe. But maybe they wanted Tex Mechanica to be unique and thought listing them alongside the others would detract from that.
-
And I am just here waiting for Daito.

3 RepliesHow about Crux/Lomar?
-
Tex Mechanica is too poor ‚ scrub. They spent all the profit they had on The Last Word
-
1 ReplyOr maybe they specialize in in Western style out dated tech
-
3 RepliesPossibly in RoI we will see Tex since another foundry names Nadir is coming.
-
There's lots of year 1 green and blue tex mechanica guns.
-
Or they only like making exotics and not legendaries? Also you have to bribe the guy in order to get the chaperone so maybe they dont like them and dont want anything to do with their guns.
-
4 RepliesI like the look of the Crux Lomar weapons.
-
Well in the Jolly Holliday quest we did have to bribe ourselves into the next round of the Shotgun Extravaganza. And I always knew that S. Barnes Davis guy seemed a bit shady
-
Considering the hell they're putting me through for a custom shotgun I can see why nobody has their stuff.
-
So your saying Tex tried to fix the crucible and made invis players?
-
10 RepliesThe last word and the chaperone. I wish there were more because they are some of the most unique in looks and it's ability. Plus they already added the emblem for them. Why no more guns?

3 RepliesEdited by GRABOOZLE: 7/6/2016 4:08:24 AMI believe it's spelled "Tex Mechanica". In response to your post, it does seem possible that is a reason we don't see them offered by the gunsmith. The more likely reason is that Tex Mechanica makes specialty weapons that aren't mass produced like the other ones are. Hence why they require the completion of a quest or good rng to acquire.

1 ReplyEdited by Qwerty: 7/6/2016 10:06:27 AMIts actually because they only developed three for TTK. More will come. Daito, Tex Mech, ect.
-
But Tex Machina has boxes in the tower
-
Look at it from a different side. They only make good weapons, not a shit ton of weapons that are almost the same.
-
7 RepliesFirst Curse Last Word The Chaperone They're good. Think if the un-loved ones that are just there.....
It's ok 4th Horseman, I still love you. 😞
Crux Lomar for life!
-
Their a more custom order type company. So their guns are not for mass sale
