Yes I like this!

People use defender?

For far too long we have been the subject to being shutdown way to easy. Come forth and hear my idea for stopping that, now as we know it defender has crap exotics helm of Saint 14, doesn't really work that well with the melee lock on, and no backup plans are pretty sad. What about a exotic that would force them to enter the bubble, a exotic that could deflect supers cast from the outside well let's say 1 FOP and 3 GG shots untill the bubble is shutdown, just so they have to enter the bubble to kill you not just smash the bumpers and the emote on what once was your home which is now your grave. Just a idea let me know what you guys think.

  • Make the inside of the bubble blackened out, and those inside can see out Casting the bubble causes a black hole pull in Cast the bubble sends all fac. Saenemy players flying awayh, potentially causing wall splats Armor that provides armor of light Casting the bubble in the air creates a platform Bubble absorbs damage causing super/melee/grenade to charge quicker but bubble can break in pve and takes less damage to break in pvp Hamster ball bubble, half the radius and blessing are weakened but where you go, the bubble goes too. Bowling ball bubble, bubble is a giant boulder that gets cast in a straight line, causes enemies to go flying Armor that increases grenade and melee recharge speed when in bubble Bubble suppresses enemies that enter Armor that increases orb generation when any defender orb generator perk is activated...orb on heavy kill/orb on melee when force barrier is active/or when enough damage is dealt to bubble And now im out of ideas....

    • The bubble should have a super suppressant (similar to the grenade) that radiates outwards so supers need to be used from a further distance in order to destroy it

1 FoH no because it's a super designed to super counter but being able to tank GG I don't care about. I like the idea of it having super suppression as an intrinsic and then if you have a specific exotic equipped it works like Zarya's gravity well.

The exotic we need is, any enemy enters your bubble starts taking damage like thorn that would be good plus they need some thing like shoulder charge

          • I've popped a bubble and blocked a shadow shot. My team mate got killed with gg I popped a bubble and he wasted his next 2 shots to break my bubble. I've popped a bubble while being foh and nb and I didn't die we just traded supers. And I've killed countless hunters with AOL shotgun melee. It's not as defensive as everybody thinks. :) other than a buff so you can't be pushed out your own bubble the class is really solid.

          • I don't know, that would make it a little op. Maybe one super per bubble deployment, but Defender is in an ok place right now. Maybe a little more armor on the actual bubble to counter the fact that all other supers got a damage buff

          • Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, back up. An exotic armor, that causes the bubble to reflect supers back at other guardians? YES. YES!!! YES!!!!!!! This is brilliant! I swear, the Defender's super is the most ironic in the Crucible because it's the only one that's 100% defensive, and at the same time it's the only super in the game that cannot stop other supers. You just put up a bubble? Too bad, someone else just popped a golden gun or a nova bomb or whatever and just completely nullified your super, your bubble is gone and you're dead. This would make playing a defender a blast.

            • No Back Up Plans are not bad. One of the best exotic in game. Dam near unstoppable when skating around with a shotgun(universal remote) and overshield. Plus weapons of light 1 shot body shots. Plenty of strategies to use; you can even shutdown supers with your grenade.

I played IB on my titan with helm of Saint 14. I set up Weapons of light and illuminated. Everyone seems to be attracted with a titan bubble for whatever the reason is - opponent and ally. But I was doing well with Hawkmoon and sniper body shots, doing very QUICK kills. When you have your team on weapons of light to back you up you'll be good. I think the reason why people screw up is because they STAY inside the bubble and get super'ed. I don't think you have to unless you have nowhere to hide - just touch it and use its powers lol. If you can just pop that bubble close to a good hiding spot you can play sneak and peek and just pick on your enemies with body snipes and precision shots

I'm not a titan main, but it's my go to subclass when I play on my Titan. The thing that makes the class op is UR with tier 5 discipline and strength and No back up plans. I absolutely shred the competition.

                • Defender is one of the worst classes ever in 6v6 I always go negative with it 8 out of 10 times (control is an exception) but in 3v3 defender is one of the best classes in the game with surpressor nades and no backup plans it's awesome I've been flawless using it before as soon as I get the sheik I'm almost unstoppable unless I get outplayed I almost always go positive in 3v3 for example in 6v6 I went 0.89 in skirmish I got a 3.0 kd against similar skilled opponents

                  • Nope. Defender>Bladedancer Defender>Sunsinger Defender>Stormtrance(if theyre dumb enough to come close) Defender>GG(run after the first shot, a smart gunslinger can walk in and blast you.)

                    • All supers were made to counter other supers. Ward of Dawn is no different.
