The title says it all, warlocks have by far the worst exotics in the game. I can think of three good ones off the top of my head, the rest are average at best. Why am I doing this? Well with rise of iron coming out in a few months I thought bungie could take a look at these exotics and make them a bit better than garbage. I'll give you a list of the the ones I believe to be useless;
Alchemist's Raiment
Words cannot describe how bad this exotic is. The perk reads "CHANCE to gain Glimmer on Primary Ammo pickup. Orbs collected when your Super is full recharge your grenades and melee. Are you kidding me, a CHANCE? As if gaining extra glimmer wasn't bad enough, it's a chance. And why would I won't to use orbs to charge my grenades and melee? I would like to use orbs to charge my super not the things that charge quickly by themselves.
Starfire Protocol
This exotic give you two fusion grenades, you're probably thinking "Hey, getting double fusion grenades sounds great!" Well it would be if getting double grenades wasn't already a perk on the sunsinger class tree. You might also think "Well now I've got two fusion grenades I can double up on a different perk in the same tree." The two other perk in that tree are touch of flame (which is useless because you already one hit people with fusion grenades) and Angel of light. Need I say anymore?
Apotheosis Veil
This exotic is just nothing, I don't even know if it is an exotic. I really don't want to waste my time writing about this exotic so I'll just ask a question, have you ever seen a warlock wearing this exotic?
THE STAG
This was one of the exotics I was most excited about before the taken King lunched. It looked so cool but it's just so bad. The perk reads "Once per life, your Super charges faster when your teammates are dead. Chance to respawn with an overshield." The first part requires your team to die for it to work, your team has to die so this useless thing will work, the second part requires you to die for it to work. And when you get revived you already get an overshield, so you're are wasting your exotic slot on something that's already a game mechanic.
In conclusion I would like bungie to fix these exotics to be better than shit and maybe even worth while using. I know hunters and titans both have some useless exotics as well, but I just had to get this off my chest.

Tf now, how about you give us the shit you create EVEN IF said things might suck

1 ReplyApotheosis veil is useless? Are you mental? It's only useless if you use it with fireborn. And hunters have sky burners annex and radiance dance machines. Oh yeah and knucklehead radar. But knucklehead is probably the best of the worst. My point is, apotheosis veil is actually amazing and has saved me quit a bit.

2 RepliesYou listed 4 that are bad. 4. The remaining 11 of the exotic armor pieces are pretty damn good (excluding the bonds). And AV had its day in the sun during TDB. Now that that raid isn't worth doing, AV is back to being semi-worthless. Purifier Robes is iffy as to whether or not it should be on that list. I'm not a fan of having to die in order for my exotic to be worthwhile, but the perk is still pretty cool.

Apotheosis veil was amazing for Crota when that was relevant because it gave you health back when you activated your super it saved my ass during that plenty of times

Now it's back to its orginal nobody wants it state. I wanted the alchemists chest piece so bad, I thought it looked cool. Then I got it and tried it out, and threw them away. So horrible. I use purifier robes for pve, mostly because you get extra ammo for all special weapons and it more than what you get on the legendary chest pieces.

1 ReplyYou are right about the raiment being bad. But the others have there moments of shine tbh. Stag can be usefull in game modes like trials. Strikes and nightfalls too, altho i guess the changes are lower then to be helpfull. Veil gives you health when using a super. It can get you out of some tricky situations. Remember when it was a godly exotic? I do, Crota's End hard mode. Tbh, i am much more annoyed by how people use the "better" exotics for locks. You see so many locks walking around with a Ram or Voidfang even tho they are a Sunsinger or Stormcaller. Those Exotics were made to work with Voidwalkers but in the end, people use them for every class. To me, they shouldnt work if you arent a Voidwalker. But thats just me. Its not like Nothing Manecles work with Sunsingers or Stormcallers for a extra grenade right?

That's what we get lol I main warlock and the class is very strong. To balance our class, we have useless exotics. Fast res and nothing menacles are the only two I ever use

5 Replieslist of useless hunter exotics: lucky raspberry. no one uses arcbolts, therefor no one uses this exotic. radiant dance machines. sure these may be fun if you can strafe but i havent ever seen them worn other than for light level. dont touch me. there were only useful for lamps in crota. achlyophage symbiote (maybe). only useful for mayhem clash. there are a few more but i dont want to seem like another salty hunter. just know that other classes have useless exotics, too.

6 RepliesNothing manacles, which will give you an almost guaranteed kill with scatter grenades. Void fang vestments I think or whatever makes axion bolts track faster and give you energy. Obsidian mind, super kills help you greatly to your next super. It is impossible for any other subclass super in the game to help you towards your next super. Claws of ahamkara gives you double one hit melee in radiance. Double fusions are still amazing and it's still a free perk. Gauntlets that give you landfall. That's two supers in one. A FoH followed by the best roaming super in the game. Also allows you to have ionic blink to dodge enemies and close distances or chain your lightning further. Ram gives you an insane armor increase to have a great armor stat and the best recovery in the game. Also gives you life steal to give you another perk there. Those were just the ones I could think of off the top of my head, but there's probably more. I'm not salty about these and I'm not asking for nerfs. I just want you, and other people like you, to realize that you've got some good and some great and some amazing stuff. Every class in the game does. Just stop focusing on the negative.

1 ReplyI could tell you why I use those ones. Alchemist is good for the guy that holds his special. Equip Tlaloc and still get orb perks. Veil I used for modes that disabled regeneration. I actually used it quite often with radiant skin also. Throw grenades out and survive a melee fight. Hit super and all stats were ready. Stag is different. I gathered the overshield lasted longer or could be additional, never verified. But in 3v3 if you res a lot and are last man standing that super charging faster could be useful. Just my thoughts, I'm a noob so I am probably doing it wrong.

The Alchemist is style over function and you can load up with 12 Sleeper shots.
