Petition for a primary weapon only crucible mode
Based on feedback, that would only include auto rifles, hand cannons, pulse rifles and scout rifles.
Exotics occupying the wrong slot would probably have to be tossed out of the mix. If not, it defeats the purpose of the primary only mode.
No supers. No grenades. Maybe no melee. I'm undecided on this one.
You would be able to switch between three different primary weapons the same way it is done now.

Yes. ANY primary, no supers, nades or exotics. No evades (e.g. twilight garrison, shade step)... And any other filter to FORCE combat with Primary. They should also apply a negative result for camping in one spot. A game mode that forced run and gun as the only strat and boiled down winning a gun fight to who can out shoot/juke the other.

Meh, I've asked for a hard core mode and was bashed for it (no perks, no supers, no elementals, no AA, just -blam!-ing guns and frag nades.

1 ReplyI would love to play that, but only if the Primary weapons all had infinite reserve ammo. Still have to reload but no fear of running out of bullets. Also, maybe no Exotics. That would stop any of those Secondary-to-Primary slot guns from being used.

6 RepliesHere's how I think they should of handled weapons in the crucible: [b]Loadouts[/b] You pick a loadout at spawn. Perhaps you can unlock new options by earning them/RNG drops. You would never be able to spawn with an exotic. There's a reason for this, and I'll come back to why. mayhem would be the only playlist where anything goes. [b]Exotics[/b] Exotics should objectively be the best weapons in the game. They should outclass legendaries in almost every situation. Because of this, as I said before, you cannot spawn with them. Instead they are spawned in preset locations, at preset times like special/heavy boxes. Different maps would have different exotic setups. Close quarters maps would have things like Hawkmook (original prenerf version that could 2 shot) while large maps would have MIDA (again prenerf with high caliber rounds) This would ensure 3 things: Everyone gets to use these weapons at some point, regardless of whether RNGus has been kind to them. Exotics get to feel powerful. Prenerf Suros anyone? No guardian gets to spawn in with an edge. Advantages are earned, like they were in Halo. [b]Supers[/b] These would function much in the same way they do now. Perhaps slower recharge, with orbs spawning on the map. [b]PvE balance[/b] With these changes, weapons in PvE can remain mostly untouched. No more negative crossover.

Wouldn't make much difference. This mode would be dominated by Doctrines and Grasps. However I would like something different. Signed (only just).

Hey I'm back to remind you that your idea is terrible. They should have custom matches and forge mode. Having those would give you your desire and more in PvP. Anything less than this is just settling.

If they do that then it should be an unranked room where you wouldn't get reputation or be able to do bounties

Bungie should just allow the player to set filters, so they can play with like minded players & stop the complaints once and for all. Don't like snipers?...filter. Dying too much to shoulder charge?...sniff sniff filter. Hate all guns and supers that kill you?...filter. Maybe this way I can play this fuggin game without trying to play the nerf curve game.
