Best thing is to create a new character and wipe away the debt.
I play crucible for a friend to get gear for him and it is much better. I can get great connections with high kd's even with his low light and poor weapons.
Switch back to my own and its lag city and I'm lucky to get a positive kd. I see so many people scrapping characters and starting again to improve the stats and this is probably why. Even top players do this to farm elo - get two top players to play with them on friends accounts with bad stats and watch your ratings rocket.

Such a shitty tactic. Too bad it won't work for you. It's based on account, not character. You are getting easy kills on your friend's account because he is lower skill than you. Keep doing it and you'll rank him up and then he'll get destroyed when he tries to play. Genius.

Actually, his friend will only get destroyed a few times before his K/D forces "we're breaking up those teams to find a better match"
-
Depends on how high he runs his Elo/k/d up. It could take weeks of losing to get matched up against his skill level again. But go ahead.

It's an average, not a total. Say he runs his buds K/D up to 3.0...but in that bracket his friend can only do .03 K/D, 11 of those and he's back to green bars and fun times! What I mean, is much like grades in school, it's harder to go up, than it is to go down. You have to actively participate to increase your K/D. All you have to do to gown down, is nothing. Load up the crucible and dance. Move the controller every so often and viola!

Oh wow really? I was wanting to get rid of my warlock anyways....
