In the mission Caydes cache, he talks about hidden stash, right after you defeat the echo of orxy and before you get the codes, if you walk against the wall your ghost will alert you there is something near (not the codes). If you pop your ghost he will look away from you as if something calling him, if you follow the direction he's looking it'll direct you to one of the pods that is scannable. The ghost will then tell you that he was a potential gaurdian that sealed himself in the pod centuries ago and tried resurrecting, but that unknow person perfered to sleep said the last war was enough to last a thousand lifetimes. This probably squashes the master chief being the traveler theory, but if master chief does exist in the destiny time line it could mean that
cortana is the traveler and helped civilization all that time ago, this could be backed up by halo 5 where she wants to evolve humanity to they're potential and considers chief to be perfect
The master chief fought a 30 year long war, starting when he wasn't even 18.

11 RepliesIt's Saint-14. His ghost is found nearby containing his grimoire entry. You've discovered his cryo-pod where he rests after returning from Mercury seeking Osiris.

Halo is the entertainment sitcom simulation from fwc

I'd say it's a reference at best, as apposed to cannon. I don't think the universes are meant to be linked. That's just me though.

Or he got so tired of bungee he went to sleep.

Would that mean the ghosts are warden eternal? The fallen are what's left of the Sanghelli and the hive are evolved flood?

4 RepliesThere is a theory the master chief is the traveler?!?!?

1 ReplyIf you read the books of sorrow there's a part where before oryx is oryx that him and his two sisters are fighting a highly advanced civilization call the the Dakaua and the reference being part of a larger group called the Ecumene council. And if I remember correctly halo had an Ecumene council. It's in card 25 I just found that interesting. To hear more about Ghost stories is a lore podcast that did a five part books of sorrow episode and I believe they talk about this card in episode three.

I like to think of it as a reference to the future of our guardian and that this is the fate we have

2 RepliesEdited by Qwerty: 6/28/2016 6:33:12 PMLittle late, but yea. Its a nod to Master Chief. Basically saying your Ghost wanted Halo 4, but Master Chief was tired and it was time for a well deserved rest- letting a new hero rise. This parallels Bungie's feelings towards Halo. They love it dearly, but its been a long time. Its time for a new hero.

4 RepliesGreat theory but bungee doesn't really have anything to do with the newer halos
