No hate, just debate. All archetypes are included. Opinions should be respected equally. If more than one apply, choose the most important. My opinion: Snipers need to be reverted. You need skill and positioning to use them, and cant just beat people at close range. Unless you are a sniper legend. They do need a revert to pre april update, as low rof snipers shouldnt res snipe. Some shotguns are op. No debate. (UNIVERSAL REMOTE!) they need a draw time nerf, and an ammo nerf. However, range and fire rate are ok. Its more that you should not be able to walk around with it out, and be ok. Or be able to just take it out. Slower draw time is the fix. (BUNGIE PLS!) Sidearms need a buff. Just a change to draw speed and fire rate, while nerfing range and impact. It should melt at shotgun range, but drop off immediately. Basically, a massive shotgun counter, but no use against primaries. Bungie, get on with it. Leave your comments below. (If this post reaches 1000 comments again, i will tag deej and cozmo.)

    [b][u]For PvE[/u][/b] [u]Shotguns[/u]: They deal less damage than snipers, require you to be at arm's length, and slow you down when you use them. They're basically useless. I think they need a good damage buff, more handling, and normal movement speed. [u]Fusions[/u]: Again, they deal less damage than snipers and have less range. I'd like to see them get a good damage buff as well. I also think they should have the same ammo reserve as snipers and shotguns, but that's only because I want the symmetry. [u]Snipers[/u]: The higher RoF ones are worse than the lower RoF ones, so that needs fixing. [u]Sidearms[/u]: I'm sorry, what am I supposed to do with this? Buff them somehow. I don't care if it's damage or utility-wise, just buff them. [u]BONUS Exotic Specials in the Primary Slot[/u]: Vex Mythoclast- I've never had it, but from what I've heard, it sounds like it should get a buff when it becomes available again. Universal Remote- This thing has been about as useful as a breadstick since day one. It could use more reserve ammo, along with a bit more of a buff somehow. No Land Beyond- It has less DpS than most snipers and ONLY ELEVEN ROUNDS. Buff both so this thing gets some use outside patrol.

    • High impact snipers need their rof lowered. It's incredibly easy to double bodyshot people. [spoiler]You also shouldn't be able to snipe someone if they're hitting you in the face with their primary.[/spoiler]

            • They just need to make primarys back to how they where and able to contest a sniper or shotgun in middle ground, and maybe less secondary ammo and make people use primarys

                • It's not that snipers are op. It's that besides sniping, or scouts, there's no effective way to counter them. They're so versatile they can be used at close range and long range. Nobody shot then switch to primary when using at close range and just hard scoping long ranges. You can't run across an open area without there being a sniper there.

                • So, you're complaining about the shotgun draw time when sniper body shot / primary cleanup is currently the most abused and broken mechanic in the game. Well sir, I think we all know what your crutch is.

                    About the shotgun draw time though shotguns already have the slowest draw time of all secondaries and the slowest ads time, atm they're are fine imo since they don't bother me at all

                    • Just because Universal Remote is good doesn't justify a nerf to all shotguns. Look at what happened when Suros Regime was OP. They nerfed an entire weapon class because of one weapon and auto rifles weren't widely used for a long time.

                        • Sidearms need a pve damage buff. In pvp they are fine in my opinion. Sidearms are my favorite secondary weapon. Would be nice to see them get some love.

                            Reduce aim assist on snipers. Let me turn it off globally. It screws me up with most any gun that has it.

                          • For me, I think pvp is balanced. No super is really op (stormtrance just a tiny bit but that's ok), there is also a pretty wide diversity in the weapons that can be used in pvp. There is a wide mix between snipers and shotguns and sidearms and fusions are very usable. That's at least my opinion. If I had to change anything, it would be buff primaries.

                            • I am pretty ok with the current state, I believe the current sniper meta has come from multiple shotgun and primary nerfs. That being said in the right hands any weapon type can be very lethal. Mostly I would argue that the abundance of PvP related nerfs have been annoying as hell in PvE.

                                • As sad as it is to say but shotguns could use a small buff to range. As it is the drop off is terrible and should be a little more smooth. Anyway snipers are fine for pve but pvp they need tweaked. Maybe add some bounce upon get hit with crits, add some sway if your hard scope longer than say 5 seconds, something. Snipers shouldn't be the main for many in pvp but a good choice on specific maps or situations.

                                • This poll is biased. Your obviously a sniper. Shotguns are trash as it is right now they need a buff. Shotty's are stupid inconsistent and shotgun handling is already really low so nerfing the handling more would render them useless. Snipers are pretty much fine they do need a body shot damage nerf though, its too easy to be successful by body shot, switch to tlw and 1 tap. Sidearms need a hefty buff aswell.
