I made a reddit post awhile ago that listed three ways to buff the Defender Titan. Of course there were people that disagreed with some of these buffs and there was a particular person thst wanted me to list drawbacks for each of them so I decided to do that here.
-Suppression:
The Force Barrier would cause the suppression ability on hit, but consume the melee charge and NOT give you an overshield. On kill, the Force Barrier would be activated normally but not provide suppression ability because there is no point in suppressing a dead enemy. The melee would activate suppression on hit nad Force Barrier on kill. No Backup Plans would still function as they currently do.
The Ward of Dawn will Suppress enemies that enter it and unsuppress them when they leave. The Defender's movement inside of the bubble would be reduced to compensate for this. I really don't think that the movement should be reduced but it was the only reasonable drawback that I could think of.
I'm fine if one or both of these changes are implemented. Preferably I would like this change for Ward of Dawn to deter people from easily countering Defenders inside of their bubbles.
-Indestructible:
The Ward of Dawn will simply be indestructible a it says in the description. This would also give a movement decreased for the Defender that deployed it while he is inside his bubble. If this were implemented, then the above suppression abiltiy would not be implemented. The Defender inside will however not be indestructible and can still be killed.
Either this or the Ward of Dawn can only be destroyed from the inside or when the deployer is killed. If this is implemented then the above suppression ability would not be implemented.
-Mobile:
Thwell rd of Dawn moves with the Titan that deployed it. Maybe reducing the effects of Armor of Light, Blessing of Light, and Weapons of Light. There would be a hole in the bubble wherever the Defender is looking that he and his allies can shoot though and where enemies can shoot through as well and use supers in if they have good aim. The Defender will also have decreased movement speed while carrying the bubble. The duration of the bubble would be reduced to 16 seconds without bastion and 25 seconds with Bastion.
Another idea would be to have the bubble be planted in a specific postion and then function normally. However the bubble would not be able to be picked back up.
The mobile bubble idea was actually in the pregame of Destiny as shown in this video:

All of these changes being implemented would probabaly make the Defender overpowered. So ONE of these changes will be fine to implement. Some of them may still need some tweaking so this should be used as a starting point for Bungie to work off of.

Of course there were people that disagreed with some of these buffs and there was a particular person thst wanted me to list drawbacks for each of them so I decided to do that here.
No support in your first post. So you make a new one (single me out) instead of just editing your post. Problem number 1 with the forums. Make a new post so no negative feedback comes with it. There is a edit button. Use it.
-Suppression: The Force Barrier would cause the suppression ability on hit, but consume the melee charge and NOT give you an overshield. There is little reason to suppress a AI in PVE. This change would mean more often then not force barrier would suppress and never give a over shield. From what I can tell it's a PVP change. You have to take both PVP and PVE into account.
The Ward of Dawn will Suppress enemies that enter it and unsuppress them when they leave. Your stoping any one from say running through your bubble and placing a nade to get you out or off a cap zone/spark/etc. And pleas do go back to the "it's my bubble you should not challenge me" excuse. What perk on the subclass would you like to trade for this new ability?
I'm fine if one or both of these changes are implemented. Again just because you drop a bubble does not mean you get ignored.
-Indestructible: The Ward of Dawn will simply be indestructible a it says in the description. And only if they can make it in. Movement speed reduced (unless it's a lot) does not seem like a draw back. Your already in a small space in your bubble. Why would you need to move fast anyways. It's stand there and shotgun what walks in. Maybe if the slow effect followed you outside the bubble for a few sec.
Either this or the Ward of Dawn can only be destroyed from the inside or when the deployer is killed. In PVE the AIs with there prefect aim and massive splash damage would render the bubble useless. Other than the "Mobil head glitch" that I see as really bad idea that will be used with every "sniper wannabe" and what happens when you combine this with WOL. The movement speed reduced here fits. He is moving a wall of light. But 25 sec with bastion is still a long time to be in a moveable head glitch.
Another idea would be to have the bubble be planted in a specific postion and then function normally. However the bubble would not be able to be picked back up.
So pop bubble and you get 1 chance to pick it up place it in a new spot? Have to give it a time limit. You pick bubble up you have X time to replace it or you lose it. If it was half used when picked up should be half used when put back down, other wise people would pick it up and put it back down just to get 2x the time.
The mobile bubble idea was actually in the pregame of Destiny as shown in this video: https://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=th67SEgH7W0
So this "YouTuber" who is after "likes" shows a clip then than 1/2 a sec of a bubble moving. It must have been part of the original game right? No editing no glitch in a "per beta". Really? Why do people just believe what any twit on YouTube says. But, even if it was he says "IMAGINE HOW OP THIS WOULD BE". "Maybe they took it out because it OP". "You would be unstoppable". Really? REALLY? This is his reasons to do it? Yea no bias there. No "I just want a OP bubble" no "I just did it for the likes".
All of these changes being implemented would probabaly make the Defender overpowered. While you have given them more thought. I still see some as hurting the class in PVE. Remember bungie don't separate PVP & PVE. so any change you might want can not hurt the class in other game modes. Keep thinking you improved some. But, I don't think enough yet to go ahead a implement one (as you suggest).
