Guaranteed desolate gear
I've seen patch notes that says desolate gear is guaranteed to drop from sterling treasure. I haven't gotten any desolate gear since the patch notes came out

I've gotten three packages a week since the update. I've gotten a taken chest for my hunter and the mark for my titan. Other than that, it's been spekter boots. That's all I get is boots and chroma. Three packages a week means the spekter boots a week. Fücking redunkulous.

I haven't gotten any desolate gear since the patch notes came out[/quote] There are 2 reward categories from sterling treasure, the right side being guaranteed meaning you will always get at least 1 item maybe 2 from that side. The right side is bonus items, meaning you have a slight chance to get 1+ items from there along with the guaranteed item. Sure the rewards are secretly weighted to drop the taken armor less, but its still very possible.

I've only ever gotten a desolate helmet for a Hunter that's it. Nothing else ever :|

2 RepliesIf you get the Desolate set on a character you can unlock the taken shiver emote. You can then transfer that emote to your other characters to use and don't have to try and get the whole sets again. You can only get the emote with the character that has a full set...just in case someone didn't know

I think you misread that. Desolate class items were listed as possible drops along things like chromas and two boosters. They were actually part of the Guaranteed list along all the actual armor so it was moved to that list visually to prevent confusion.

It's part of the "Guaranteed" list. As in, you are "Guaranteed" ONE item from that list, which can include any Desolate piece for your class, or ANY Spektar piece. Then up to four "Possible" items, which include the Desolate (for your class) and Spektar (for any class) Class Items, all Chroma, Reputation Boosters, the Sparrow, and the Ships.

I logged on for the first time in months and had a bunch of sterling treasures. Got a full set of desolate gear from them.
