Greetings destiny lovers! While we can all sit and discuss why nerfs are helpful/hurtful to PVP and what we think is unfair or not. I think we can all agree that these nerfs have really ruined the PvE in this game... I for one can't stand using sun singer in PvE anymore and being someone who has played since beta that really saddens me :( give me a bump if you agree that we should get all nerfs removed for PvE for the release of Rise of Iron! Thanks! Edit- so glad we got this trending! much love guys edit 2: so I figured since this post is still recieving a little attention, I figured I would go into a little detail on what I think is wrong 1. exotic weapons that were removed from y2 (mostly because of how broken they were in pvp) examples - Thorn, Vex mythoclast, nechrochasm, Ice breaker, I will say gally but because they nerfed wolfpack shortly before removing it, ect) 2. weapon perks that were also pretty broken in crucible example- final round snipers, y1 rangefinder for shottys, HoW shotguns damage and range, etc) 3. subclass nerfs ( this one is more complicated because i actually feel like the devs are trying to balance) example- twilight garrison nerf, shadestep nerf, bbq firebolts, pretty much everything from the 2.3 update seems unnecessary for pve 4. primary damage nerfs examples- 9% damage reduction to HROF autos, nerfs to hand cannons, from what I have read HROF pulses will soon be seeing nerfs along with scouts, basically removing this stride towards longer engagement times across the board. Personally I don't feel like I am a legend anymore and that's coming from someone who has continuously had max light level since this game dropped and personally I don't like the direction this game is going. I personally think that any nerfs that were initiated primarily for their pvp functions should be removed by the drop of rise of iron. constructive feedback and thoughts are most definitely welcome thanks again guardians :)

  • I hope you see this message haha. I really agree with you, especially with the removal of y1 exotics from yr2 from the power of the PVE landscape. Sometimes, I think, "okay fine, remove them from the crucible if you want, but I also like to play PVE." I want to use things like Thorn again because of the aesthetic of the gun. It's DoT against certain enemies. If not bring it back to crucible, maybe make it a PVE only weapon! I know you can replace it for a better exotic in PVE, but I just loved to use it. It made me feel like I was becoming legend when fighting the Darkness in missions, strikes, and raids. Maybe restrict some things like Thorn and Icebreaker from PVP since they were a plague there and let us use them to their full light level power in PVE. This is coming from an average daily crucible player that wants to have more fun in PVE. I want to do more against AI enemies in strikes and raids.

        I agree. I think that Hand Cannons could keep their (pre-June) damage drop-off but with increased range stats across the board, to make them less intrusive to scout rifle range and use, but other than that, yes - I want everything un-nerfed in PvE. I want our full, HoW-era PvE shotguns damage, range and handling back. I want Year 1 perks back, in their full glory. I want my Mythoclast and Necrochasm back (the Necro got buffed RIGHT before it was dropped, we never got to use it properly). I want to feel powerful again. I want my time invested in the game to show in the shape of awesome gear. I want Hand Cannons without any kind of accuracy bloom. I want auto rifles that don't take entire mags to take down a tier one enemy in PvE. I want some range restored on both AR:s and HC:s (they have both too severe drop-off). I want to feel like a legend again.

      • Hate to be a dick here but this is how I see it Although the nerfs have made the specified subclasses weak or even useless, we just have to adjust because bungie will not listen. No petition will work and neither will all this "we'll stop playing if it doesn't go back" nonsense. Also even if bungie saw this do you honestly think they would care or listen?

        • I don't understand what people are talking about when they talk about PvE nerfs. PvE has never been in a better place. I think the new breed of players are less capable, not the weapons.

              • I think that instead of nerfing weapons with wierd balance logics like seeing to many people playing with the same guns , I say they should better yet work on making Guardians stronger on pvp like making them resist more bullet and headshot and that way the weapons stay the same for pve and dont do the same damage in pvp without being nerfed

              • Remove the nerfs and remove pvp from any connection to pve, let them be 100 percent independent that way everyone is happy.

              • Even though some nerfs have made some classes worse in pve, some of the changes have been good. Like bladedancer for instance, it's almost useable.

                • I used to play an aggressive striker in PvE; I would shoulder charge into a group of enemies and I could always count on my conspiracy theory to get me out, no matter what I had gotten myself into. Now I find myself trying to do the same thing and dying miserably due to it's abhorrently long reload and rechamber times as well as through the roof recoil. It took the fun out of the thing I found most enjoyable destiny and it's really been pissing me off.

                  • Bump! I don't know how they will do it but the game does require PVE and PVP elements to be separate. The damn exotics don't feel like exotics anymore.
