the Fabian Strategy

The Fabian Strategy is fine, leave it alone. No buff is needed.

The Fabian Strategy needs improvement. Modify the Front Lines perk so the weapon hits with normal impact at all times, and just faster while the perk is active.

The Fabian Strategy needs to be changed. Alter the exotic perk to allow the weapon's ballistic plating to grant protection to the wielder.

Much of the community (myself included) believes that the Titan exotic weapon, the Fabian Strategy is in serious need of improvement. Personally, I would like to see the weapon's unique ballistic plating offer some form of extra protection (such as increased armor, taking reduced damage from the front, or a modified version of the guerrilla fighter perk that activates while ADS). Another popular suggestion is to modify the existing Front Lines perk to have the weapon hit with normal impact at all times -and just at an accelerated rate while the perk is active. What do you think? Which way would you like to see the Fabian Strategy improved? -Or do you disagree and think that it doesn't need a buff at all? Either way, I would love to hear your opinions on this.

  • FS really does need a buff. I've been killed by Tlaloc and Ace of Spades more times than FS, and I think that part of the problem is that the combination of perks - coupled with decreased impact when Front Lines is active - just makes it a thoroughly underwhelming gun to use in comparison to it's contemporaries. I'd be up for both of those solutions being implemented - that ballistic plating should really do more other than just look good.

  • I pulled the Strategy out of my vault for a bit but it is just so hard to control. It needs a base stability increase and/or change the RoF increase to somewhere between the Mid and High RoF architype. That happened once when someone was sprinting towards me and it is a good feeling for the gun. In regards to the low stability, the CQB Ballistics can help a little but the Linear Compensator gives a boost to impact only present on Suros Regime, a weapon able to stand head and shoulders without it. The Linear Compensator would also (maybe) counteract the many nerfs to the High RoF architype. However the Strategy seems to be like a Jack in training to some stats and clueless on other. I really want this to be fixed in order to make the Strategy more competitive.

  • Just been reading the review about it on Planet Destiny and it really does need a buff indeed... Like massively. I think the two last options in your poll should be included in the buff... I think the plates at the front of the gun should stop flinching when ADS or something... and either a stability increase perk or tweak life support on the gun so that it procs every time like red death... Just hope Bungie see's this as I'm going to be getting it shortly!!!

  • Well the fact that I don't see this gun every 100 game no one uses it. Its almost as hated as the pour dregs promise or patience and time.

    • They also need to extend the range at which the perk activates. Thank you for posting this. Hope it gets noticed.

      • Another thing about it is the sight. That sight isn't exotic at all. It's a pretty standard sight on line 90% of hakke auto rifles. If they want something to feel exotic, start with the effect and how it looks. They didn't follow their own Creed when it came to that underwhelming(under-performing) gun
