I never realised you obtained Blacksmith from pre-ordering CoD AW. I actually did pre-order AW. Is there any way to still get the code?

You can talk to the retailer who you preordered from, but other than that, No

I pre-ordered the digital version directly on my XB1. It came with a special something (gun I think; it's been so long I don't remember anymore).

That's the problem, it was a GameStop exclusive preorder. The only other way to get it was to win the Bungie art contest in year one, or by being at a gaming convention Bungie was at giving out the codes.
