Bungie, why are you making me REBUY TTK Legendary Edition on PS4 when I already have it on PS3?
I'm sorry for ranting but it seems like a blatant cash grab by Bungie/Activision to sell more. I've been a PS3 guardian since Alpha. I've spent more than $100 on the base game and now you are making me spend $70 more ( $30 for RoI and $40 for the PS4 rebuy). Destiny is great game and all but this is just pathetic now.

EDIT: I'm not mad that they are dropping old gen, what I am mad about is me rebuying my content on a newer console.
EDIT 2: If people are complaining about me paying money to upgrade TTK, why is Bungie giving us TDB and HoW?

I had to re-buy the Uncharted collection, Tomb Raider, Ratchet and Clank and God of War for PS4. Why do you feel special?

Would it be a bad idea if they at least discounted it because you owned it on the old gen? Then again I'll probably just go to gamestop or equivalent and buy it dirt cheap with the one or two $ warranty and still come out pretty descent. Heck I'll come out even if I bring in some old games to trade. I love it when they give us free games and then take the game I physically owned in for trade. In time it adds up.

Its a "10 year" planned game. Did you really not think this was going to happen at some point? Legacy consoles were not going to last another 10 years upon release.

This happens with ANY game you had on a last gen console. Upgrade and you have to buy the new game. Only a couple times have I seen offers to get a free next gen game upgrade if you recently bought the old version, and that was when the consoles initially released. Stop whining it's not bungie commanding you to buy the ps4 version, it's everyone who makes games. And come on most people spend 100 a year on call of duty. So 170 for 2 years of destiny is still below that, and cod players don't whine about it... But that's none of my business... lol

We had to rebuy it for Xbox One also. We had to but 2 copies actually for 360 and then 2 copies for Xbox One since my husband and I both play it.

check my history threads i had same problem on xbox one, they gave me 2 expansion packs but didn't give me the expansion pack ttk? i ranted because i thought another copy was 60 pound's, about 90$ but!, turns out i miss read while inebriated.. long story short, buy ttk on disk for 25 pounds from asda/walmart

Look up the terms of agreement. Under the section change to agreement. It talks about any changes to the agreed program and what both parties are entitled to per the agreement. Let me know what you think after reading it.

2 RepliesI understand your frustration. This doesn't sound like a decision that Bungie or Activision made, nor can control. Licensing and license transfered of digital content on PlayStation and Xbox is solely up to Sony and Microsoft. I suggest getting in contact with them. It is also entirely possible that Bungie is working with them to get a upgrade path for those on last gen. It just might take some time. If you are not successful in upgrading from Sony, I suggest waiting till Rise of Iron drops before spending any money. Take care fellow Guardian. The community is behind you.

Same reason I had to buy the final fantasy games I already own for ps2 / ps3 for my ps4 and vita. Or the Nathan Drake collection for my ps4 even though I own them all for my ps3. That's life. Different console, new game. That's just how it goes.

They did this for a big cash grab. If you believe different your blind. When Activision is behind something, you better bet it has to do with money and nothing else.
