I've never understood why. Also does anybody feel like sharing desktop backgrounds? My computer crashed and I have no backup, so I figure that I should start with some scenery.

Heavens, CEO of StasisIt's so over. - old
Because gay people are actually snake people who's main goal is to decrease the population of humans by not contributing to it, then they push for gay rights and social acceptance, and when our guard is down, they'll strike. -
1 ReplyI can think of 12 gay people off the top of my head. Two of them you would never guess the other ten you knew as soon as they opened there mouth
-
Only some of them do.
-
estrogen levels are higher.
-
They choose to talk like that for some reason. I think it's really annoying but I know gay guys that talk without it.

6 RepliesHarsher, more critical, and deeper sounds typically emulate masculinity. Males generally have deeper voices, however enunciation is a much more topical concept than the regular pitch of your voice. Different tones obviously reflect upon different stimuli and emotional responses, and seeing as how the gay man as lived his life in a heteronormative world where liking a man is akin to femininity, if he may have grown accustomed to said femininity, and which he reflects by changing the tone of his voice. Whether this be a conscious or subconscious decision is not an argument I feel like delving into, nor one I care that much about.

1 ReplyEdited by cbrstar: 6/25/2016 8:45:42 AMIt's called sibilance, Women do it naturally perhaps because many have smaller jawlines then Men. But for what ever reason you find it more so only in English speaking countries. I think it may be a way that they find each other easier, instead of risking confrontation with a straight male? Or maybe it's the structure of the English language. English unlike many other languages doesn't have a Masculine or Feminine form to it.

2 RepliesNot a clue. 😐 but I for one don't have the lisp and the only guy I know who does is straight. 😕
-
I actually watched a documentary on Netflix about the "gay accent" and how it negatively effects straight men to have it. It was freaking hilarious, not going to lie.
-
I don't have it, and it annoys me how the media flaunts stereotypes like these.
-
2 RepliesNature and nurture. Some would say that there is a genetic predisposition, maybe hormone levels during the developmental stages.... But a lot of is it learned. Environmental. Comes from the human desire to be assimilated into a group and mimic others to be accepted. If you look, act and sound a certain way the gay community will embrace you. If you want to be thrown for a loop, go make friends with a gay guy who didn't grown up around the gay community. He will look, act, and sound no different than anyone else. Share similar hobbies as you and more likely than not, you'll get called out as potentially gay long before they will.

They try and look, act and sound like girls.

5 RepliesEdited by Azraels Sorrow: 6/25/2016 12:50:36 PMI was told its from having your voice box/ Adam's apple repeatedly assaulted by giant cocks. I'm pretty sure this is a scientific fact

I was told that men have less testosterone than normal, which causes their voice to be like that.

Edited by Masque of Night: 6/25/2016 3:06:08 PMI've met a few people who I later found out to be gay. I think maybe...one of them had a little bit of a lisp? I mean I know it's a big stereotype, but it's not one i've seen around much in person. As far as why people talk that way, I guess a learned habit or something. Manner of speech is something that can change in a person and is strongly affected by the environment they're exposed to. Hence why while living in a new location, you may pick up the accent of that area. I don't know, something like that.

9 RepliesWell it's not all.. But I would imagine its genetics.. But I'm pan but I don't sound like the usual homo. You'd think I'd be hetero.
-
3 RepliesIt's got something to do with how they're always hanging out with chicks, since hanging out with dudes makes them feel awkward and horny. If you like nature and shit I guess I could share my desktop backgrounds. I've got a few nice ones imo
-
What about lesbians

1 ReplyI've wondered the same damn thing! I knew a guy in high school that years later turned out to be gay. I saw him maybe 4 years after we graduated and he had that effeminate lisp! He never spoke like that when we were in school together.
-
You haven't lived until you've seen a masculine Hispanic Marine with the same lisp.
-
The ones that do want to be sure you know they're gay.
-
5 RepliesSlurping bucket loads of cum tends to do that to you.

1 ReplyDraws attention. Got a bud from way back in school who is gay. He dont get it either.
