So what's everyone's favourite mass effect game and why?
Me personally prefer number 2...just an awesome story and those loyalty missions make it even better as it adds that personal touch

Edited by DUURJOB: 6/25/2016 7:56:06 PMMass Effect 2 and 3 are tied for me Mass Effect 2 because, well come on it's Mass Effect 2, it had a fantastic story, the best cast, the loyalty missions were great although a bit excessive, and of course that final battle scenario was the best Mass Effect 3 because I felt the pacing was just the best and the gameplay and graphics were the best, the DLC's were the best, it had a multiplayer even though I didn't like it and felt it was unnecessary but I heard a lot of people liked it, and there were so many epic moments such as (ACTUAL SPOILERS)
Mordin dying, saving or destroying the Geth or Quarians, saving or dooming the Krogans, etc.
so they're both amazing

Definitely 3. While yes the ending as a whole wasnt that great for the series the game itself was amazing. Tons of memorable moments, the best combat out of the trilogy, and conclusion on several conflicts present b4 even the 1st game. While the Reaper war could've ended better everything else in the game felt like it was truly concluded.
And those feels when you watch characters you've seen since the start, start dying off...
7 RepliesGonna get a lot of hate for this...
Mass Effect 3
It had the best pacing, there was never a dull moment, it had several of the most memorable moments in the series (Mordin's death, the initial invasion of Earth, everything on Rannoch), the gameplay was greatly improved over 2, the final battle at the end was amazing, and while the original ending was terrible, the extended cut made it much better. I love all three of the games, but Mass Effect 3 stands out for me.

1 for more exploration and more RPG elements. I can always go back to it and finish it within a rather short time span doing almost everything
-
Mass Effect (1) by far. ME2 was very good, minus the watered down rpg powers. But we will *never* speak of the *other*...the abomination.
-
2 Kept great story elements as 1 while adding more action combat rather than standard RPG awkward combat 1 has.
-
I'd have to agree 2 was by far the better story , missions I could play it over and over and over 👌
-
6 RepliesI could play mass effect 3 100 times and I would still never side against Tali on Rannoch.
one time I attempted romancing someone besides Tali in me2. Couldnt do it.
7 RepliesEdited by BallsOutForBT: 6/24/2016 7:57:46 PM(I would never actually do this because I love the characters too much) I think I just thought of a way to get literally every squadmate killed. Mass effect 1 -either kaiden or ashley will die -shoot wrex Mass effect 2 - have everyone die in the suicide mission except for samara and thane Mass effect 3 -Thane will die no matter what -Dont stop Samara from killing herself -shoot kaiden/ashley on the citadel -Get bad EMS in me3 and have james and liara die on the beam run -choose destroy ending to kill EDI
-
ME3 but just because the of the improvement in the combat mechanics. ME2 has the best plot in the series but the planet scanning, limited costumization and limited run capabilities kind of kills it for me. ME1 costumization is superb, but being the first installment of the series, could've been better.
-
The first introduces Tali and Garrus, the best characters. Would consider mass effect 2 the best game overall though.
-
2 RepliesProbably me1 It gave me garrus and tali And I never used anyone else ever again
-
2 RepliesDespite popular opinion, I enjoyed the first game the most since it introduces you to the best characters and their storylines. Also, even though Legion is an awesome character in ME2, I like fighting the geth army more than the collectors (damn praetorians) or reapers (banshee suck).
-
2, no question, although I loved 1 and 3, as well.

Edited by wojo55: 6/24/2016 10:28:06 PMCan't decide between 2 and 3 Love 1 also btw
-
I Enjoyed No.3 It Was A Change From The Other Games And I Enjoyed The Endings No Matter The Hate They Received. It Let The Player Know That They Can Finally Put Down The Game And Start Something Anew.

Edited by The Dovahk: 6/24/2016 9:09:29 PMIf I had to decide, it would be between 1 or 2.
Or 3.
3 RepliesAndromeda
i'm from the future
1 ReplyMass Effect 2. Special mention to 3 for multiplayer.

Star Control

I don't want to decide. Some of them have things I like more than the other two, and some have things I dislike more than the other two. But if I had to choose one as my favourite... I think it would probably be ME1.
-
All of them

Either 1 or 3. Me1 had the best feeling of progression. You start off barely able to lift a couple guys off the ground to launching people into the sky and lifting an entire colossus. Great story and seemless introduction to each race's culture. Anything that was wrong with 1 or 2's gameplay me3 fixed. Like someone else mentioned, it had some of the best moments in the series. The multiplayer also turned out fantastic.
-
2=1>3. All fantastic games. 3 would have been my choice were it not for my character being forced to say things on many occasions. And the weird ending.

Mass Effect 2

No, just.....No
