Bungie has made it clear they dont want classes having too high of a KD, yet we see that defender is just as low KD wise as hunters were high.

Sure you put could NBP on and terrorize people but my teammates and I like it more when I am the provider. Yeah I could be a one man wrecking crew and run around getting Force Barrier on shotty kills or using WoL to body shot people. But why? Why do that when I can run 2 Suppressors to keep my team from being annihilated by an enemy super? Why run WoL when you can run AoL in objective game modes or BoL for Clash or whatever? Why run Bastion when you can run Gift of the Void? Let's face it, the bubble is a target. You have no idea how many times I've been Smashed, Nova'd, GG'd, etc in my bubble. I'm fine with that. You know why? I just left 3 more orbs for my teammates if they can get to them. For real though, destinytracker me. My individual stats aren't great on any character (1.1-1.2 k/d across the board). Don't pay attention to that though. Look at the win-loss ratio, specifically over the last 2 months. [b][i][u]85% wins[/u][/i][/b] in 6v6 this month.(I usually don't play 3v3. Too sweaty for my tastes). 17-1 a few nights ago and 10-0 last night. In summation, playing Defender isn't about your k/d. It's about winning the match.

1 ReplyIn a way I'm not too sure how you can buff the defender bubble. People have suggested shooting through the bubble from the inside, and I can only see that not being overpowered if you reduce the amount of time the defender bubble is up or replacing one of its neutral game perks to give you that ability. Not by a lot of time but subtract maybe 2 seconds or so. It is a fairly defensive tactic and very valuable in objective based pvp modes and more incentivized in PVE (how useful it would be in Kings Fall for the Ogres and the Golgoroth fight).

Being able to shoot through the bubble and stay in it being protected from enemy fire 2. If you're killed the bubble stays to help teammates capture points until it disappears or destroyed from an enemy super That would help the defender

First of all why are their non defender players coming in here thinking they can say "oh the defender doesn't need a buff, the only reason the defender sucks is because people suck" you know why everyone looks good now of days? It's because everyone's sniping and they think on I'm good because I can aim a weapon in the head and switch to last word when I'm getting rushed 2. Second the defend can be shut down by almost all the supers. Nova Bomb, Titan smash, golden gun, hammers and sunsinger grenades can shut em down. I atleast have my bubble up for about 20 seconds and boom shut down and it's so dumb how they shut the bubble down then you. Wtf come on? 3. The graph says it all! 4. Ever class just outdoes the defender but it's whatever, "I'm not a defender so oh I'm going to judge the defender anyways because the times I see them their shield is good but easy to take down" 5. Look this is off topic but please stop saying your a pro and stuff and judging other people because at this point destiny doesn't take skill to play really because I can use last word sniper any day an I never do and reck so get off of other classes nuts. This is biased but every class takes no skill besides t Titans in general need a buff besides striker obviously but we shouldn't be forced to use other classes/subclasses because one class is dumm

I don't need my defender buffed, I main a Titan and if you are good you don't need to have your hand held and buffs to compensate.

#NOBUFFHUNTERS But seriously defenders are perfectly fine, its not the subclass, its the players using it. I have many friends that main titans and ask ME to place the bubble, they just never use it and place it when theyre low on health. You can have no backup plans with universal remote, suppresor grenades, weapons of light with a high impact sniper to one shot, which is basically a golden gun that can have more than three shots depending on how many shots in your sniper, or if you want to shotgun in the bubble you can put on armor of light and if anyone challenges your bubble, even with a shotgun, they lose. And yes I know they can get shut down easily by other supers, well there, I know the feeling because I main hunter and use to main bladedancer until the nerfs. The only super I can think of fixing to shut it down is nova bomb with shatter, Ive heard that if they super you they destroy your bubble and everyone in it. Honestly, bubbles are fine but the players using them are clueless.

13 RepliesThe video above proves my point that I'll make. The majority of the people who play Defender are just downright horrible and don't use the class right. They're probably the people who run a whole game until they get their super ready with AoL and a Shotgun and camp and get 1-2 kills. I mained Defender after that video and on a average I get 17+ kills from every game. 20+ if it's Rift on Cathedral of the Deep. Not a lot of people delve into Defender and just end up sucking with it. I know because I've had people on my team and on the enemy that sucked so hard they switched to striker or Sunbreaker in the middle. Its a [b] Support [/b] Super. A stationary one at that of only its kind. (Unless you count Nightstalker which in most situations does greater than Defender). You help your teammates not yourself. If you play Defender only looking out for yourself you're going to ruin your KD and hurt your team. Defender needs no type of buff. Bungie already looked at their stats back when they gave it it's "Grenade Charge on Activation" Buff BACK. SleepingLion, out~

2 RepliesFirst, I read this, and any of your comment or posts, in J.K. Simmons voice. It's so great and I thank you for that. Second, as a casual PvE only Defender main, I generally don't care what they do to my subclass. I'm gonna blast the ever loving goat cheese outta this game no matter what, and I have fun doing it. Third, as a casual PVEer, I feel my opinion matters very little to those upset by the nerfs or those who welcome it. I think I covered my bases. Judging solely on the graphic, I extrapolate two things; either players aren't as effective with said subclass, or the subclass is generally inferior. That being said, why the -blam!- nerf Mr. Garrison?? I digress. I tend to agree with you, Mr. Johnson. Defenders are already sooo good. How many classes can share a super that gives everyone a 1 shot sniper? Golden Guns for everyone! Still not good enough? They also have grenades that can shut down anyones super.. Plus an over shield just for funz..

I don't disagree about Defender Titans, but don't take that useless chart bungie posted to heart, seriously. They put that 'thing' out there to just justify whateer changes they have made or will make down the road.

2 RepliesBy that logic sunsinger should have never been nerfed. It does its job quite well and can be overpowered of there is more than one defender on a team. Asking for it to be buffed will only lead to it getting stupid nerfed into the ground. Leave it alone.
