Yesterday I preached a moderate and pragmatic approach to to the issues at hand. Today...screw it.
Deej I'm calling you out. You write like a pompous, elitist, inconsiderate asshole. This week we fixed what was broken? No this week you broke shit then maintained complete silence and were for all intents and purposes entirely ineffective as a community manager throughout the entire process.
I don't want free shit. I understand that a project of this scope will face difficulties. But you sir are entirely ineffective in your position.
If you worked for me I would fire you, hire you back and then fire you again just on principle.
Bungie terminate this asshat immediately. And before anyone says how well would you do. Call me bungie. I'll do a metric -blam!- ton better than this clown.
LTrain out.

Edited by CapnMark: 6/27/2016 2:27:31 PMWhat DeeJ and Cozmo like to do that's more important then keeping people up to date is that they like to roast people when there's nothing to talk about. Inb4 I get roasted for no reason.
-
I have to agree here, what other game do you know has been out for 2 years and is still having the same issues from week 1?
-
But ignore the obvious issues while emphasizing the idiotic aesthetic bullshit. Then sound like a smug prick while doing so. Someone replied earlier about the glib attitude, specifically "too much time around Luke Smith". Nail on the head with that one.
-
Respect again to King Nis for his insightful response and information. Point still remains...dude is primary point of contact with us. Updates from said individual are lacking. Updates that are given are written like there was an active attempt to win the biggest dbag award. Many ppl flamed on the point that Deej is told what to say and has no control. I don't disagree with those statements. But the truth is Deej should be our direct line to the dev team. If he is in fact pushing forward these issues (matchmaking, pve nerfs etc not the bullshit omg bungie I died please nerf crap) and getting no help or response then I do in fact feel bad for that man. I hope his efforts are not in vain. But when I continually read communications from someone sounding like a straight prick, and that someone is the face of customer interaction, it leaves me no option but to call that individual out.
-
And i only say this because yea bungie fixes a lot of things, but you would expect them not to basically crash their game evertime thwy release an update or a patch. Generally speaking an intellegent person does not make the same mistakes over and over and over, not saying its deej, but you would think they would hire devs that know how to program and test code.
-
Couldn't have said it better! He is absolutely useless.
-
What an enchanted life you must live.
-
Let your salt consume you
-
I think Deej is laughing .
-
I agree with your post, not once did you say he was developing destiny. These idiots writing give him a break! I could genuinely do a lot better than the asshat known as deej. Before you go and say your probably a kid in your mums basement... I can assure you I have businesses myself and if you want the proof I will link you to the evidence. I would deffinatly fire him, he's meant to be a community manager he should deal with complaints, good feed back and bad. He should also keep us posted on the happenings of the game and he certainly doesn't do any of these things consistantly.
-
now this guy right here is a perfect example of someone who likes to talk a lot from behind a monitor yet still more than likely doesnt have a job and has no experience in the working field. fukc you man, thats what I have to say to you, fukc you!
-
Seriously, dude? DeeJ is just doing his job to report these happenings. He has no power over what happens at Bungie, and when something does happen, he has to address the community about it. What if he hadn't said anything at all? What if there was no Iron Banner and no Trials and nobody knew what was going on? Wouldn't that upset you more than if he speaks like a "pompous asshole" (which he clearly doesn't, he's just informing and doesn't add any tone whatsoever to his writing)? Don't kill the messenger.
-
He never said DeeJ was a dev.
-
Exactly this^^^ I also have more respect for Deej after watching his IGN e3 interview. The one host tried to hit him with the "please explain why you ruined hunters" trash and Deej instantly shut him down hard. Props to Deej.
-
lol. Deej isn't a a developer. He just has to tell you what's going on and listen to you pout about it. There's nothing he can do; get over it.
-
While I'm not as "triggered" as he is I don't think that was his intended message. I do agree with him if he is saying "hey deej can you keep us a little more updated?". I personally think when large chunks of the Game goes offline we should have a daily update as to progress and what they are doing to fix it
-
Yikes
-
Geez, you guys lose your shit over nothing, huh?

-blam!-ing roasted

Never read Deej as anything but a decent dude, doing a good job under difficult circumstances. IB and Trials were cancelled due to player connectivity issues. That's the message he delivered. They might have a fix, and Trials will resume this week. If the patch is solid, IB comes back next week. That's the message delivered. What other information is there for Deej to give? Cut the guy some slack, bro.
-
I have to agree with much of this. So tired of the glib bullcrap. Someone has been hanging out with Luke Smith too long.
-
What the hell do you think DeeJ is even bloody capable of?! All he does is act as the middle man between Bungie and the community! He has no real influence and all you're really doing is shooting the messenger!
-
What do I think he can do? Communicate better. He's a community manager. It's in his job description. I'm not under some false impression that he's on the development team. My mistake if it sounded that way in my post. I also understand that he's doing his job and he has people to answer to in that position. I just find it hard to believe that they said "hey this week after we had all sorts of problems we want you to sound like a complete prick in the weekly update. That should satisfy everyone." Again I don't want silver, gear, or any handout. I just personally feel that the gentleman comes off like a prick and I have no problem stating it.
-
I think you communicate very well Ltrain
