Does Shoulder Charge really need a Nerf?
Been seeing a lot of topics on people wanting shoulder charge nerfed and I'm not sure why. As far as I know, it's been the same since the start of destiny or at least it's been the same for a long time. Personally whenever I get killed by shoulder charge it's usually my fault because I'm not being aware or I'm blindly running into areas. (Usually when I'm trying to get a sick nova bomb triple+ kill lol) and if I'm in a match where someone is only using shoulder charge then I try to adapt, I get a sniper out and kill him before he gets to me, or I just shoot while walking backwards. That usually does the trick. just like when I'm facing someone who's sniping, I usually flank them and close the gap on them with a shotgun or fusion. It's all about adapting.
What do you guys think about shoulder charge needing a Nerf?
Edit: i don't know if it was clear or not but I don't think Shoulder Charge should be nerfed

People crying for nerfs and buffs are usually shit players. Either in game or in reality. If something kills them it must be OP. Instead of modifying their playstyle or developing new tactics they come here to cry. Its their go to when mom wont listen anymore.

1 ReplyI personally don't think it should be a one shot kill. They can use when ever they want to & they will never run out. People use it as their primary! I say it should be like 90 to 95 % of the persons health. Even that is a lot, but it's better then being one shotted by it from some one who uses it more than their actual gun. Idk, if that's not possible, then put a damn cool down on it.

No, most day 1 titans will tell you SC is usually a 50/50 shot. You either get a face full of buckshot, or you can get a kill. With SC you win some, you lose some. A nerf isn't needed.

2 RepliesPeople don't even get a significant K/D boost when running shoulder charge. It encourages riskier gameplay, and doesn't correlate to higher win ratios. If it hurts your feelings, that's one thing, but it doesn't give that player an actual advantage. Dry your tears before posting something needs to be nerfed.

If I can't get a one shot kill from an extremely well placed throwing knife to the face then unsoundly be killed by a shoulder check . Just saying

If you are killed by shoulder charge you were also in range to be killed by a shotgun. If you let a titan get that close and build up enough momentum to be able to shoulder charge you are doing something wrong.

Two for a warlock melee as well. Just saying that if I had to pick which one seems like it would do more damage for real... I would say getting your face pig stuck by a huge knife is the one I would avoid. A effing shoulder charge killing you, I know people die while playing football but usually that's from heat exhaustion. Plus I would think that the armor that we wear as hunters and warlocks would probably protect better than f****** football pads. What does this say for my graviton forfeit, is it no better than a football helmet?

1 ReplyBungie has this community so used to nerfing shit that it's out of control now. Legendary? Yeah they nerfed that idea too. I don't think they need to nerf anything and certain things (including weapons) should make you feel powerful. Bungie runs this game with a Socialist iron fist.
