Shadestep was easily countered too, but that didn't stop anyone from bitching about it, constantly.
It's -blam!-ing old. People need to stop the constant bitching.

The shadestep/garrison nerf wasn't even necessary, it was an evasive technique. It's like nerfing movement speed. What pissed me off about that though was that Hunter is supposed to be an agility-focused class with severe armour/recovery to agility tradeoffs, and they go ahead and nerf that tradeoff...
-
Really shadestep was way better than shoulder charge
-
Shadestep has more uses. It's more fun, and allows you to dodge boss attacks. Now it's broken and not really as useful. Thanks whiny bitches.
-
Now it's broken
Shadestep is broken because you can't spam it anymore? lmao
-
I've seen people since the nerf still spam it like before...
-
Shadestep was easily countered too, but that didn't stop anyone from bitching about it, constantly. It's -blam!-ing old. People need to stop the constant bitching.
There's no counter to someone using an evade.....
-
Yea there is - shoot them. You don't become invincible or anything. You can EASILY be shot by someone that knows how to play the game.
-
i can show you a video of a stormtrance on a shadestepping hunter doing no damage at all because he literally gained i-frames
-
Shadestep does not have immunity frames, it cancels tracking and aim assist which is why your lightning isn't able to hit a Hunter when they shadestep.
-
which is bs canceling tracking on a super which is 100% tracking is bs
-
It works as intended.
-
I call bullshit, because I know for a FACT that I died while using it, and killed dozens of others while they were using it. I also have video of whacking a guy with a sword and him not taking any damage. It's called lag. Shit happens.

Edited by Marm: 6/23/2016 5:29:09 AMThat's a terrible argument... I'm assuming you're a salty nightstalker who got their crutch toned down a bit. Am I right? Edit: hunter main confirmed
-
I'm primarily a PVE player, except for quests and IB. My crutch is having fun. I like to enjoy the games I play, and it's not quite as fun now. So yeah, having something taken away that I used when getting into the middle of crazy fights, does suck. That, plus the movement feeling a little weird since the update, makes the class a little less friendly. As for defending it, I can't tell you how many hunters I fried when they tried using it. Between souls stealer's claw, telesto, or a sword, I always found easy kills from poor players. It's an easy kill because they're not engaging you. Heck, rocket launchers were brutal against it too. Absolutely brutal.
-
It's an easy kill because they're not engaging you.
It takes away your aim assist while they're lining up their shot in third person...... Go play pve, and let Bungie handle the balancing. Shadestep needed a nerf, and it appropriately got one.
-
Aww...it takes away aim assist (for a frame!)..which is the crutch for every idiot that can't actually control their own sticks. It needed the same nerf that everything else in this game needs - less whiny bitches and PVP ruining it.
-
You're clueless.
Adios
-
So because I know more about the ability than you do, I'm clueless? Thanks for showing your ignorance and bias.
-
I know more about the ability than you do
Teach me your ways. I'm dying to find out how you maintain the 0.8 kd on your hunter.
-
Edited by metastophicleas: 6/23/2016 11:59:44 AMI already told you, I do PVP because I have to, and for IB. If you think that is some kind of "gotcha", you could actually look at how I play when I'm trying to win, vs clear quest lines and bounties. My IB average is usually around 1.2. I'm going to guess you're too lazy to look that up? Plus, and reading how an ability works, doesn't make someone an amazing player, it means they understand how the game works. But you're going to come back and derp it up some more, because that's what idiots with no real point do.
-
My IB average is usually around 1.2. I'm going to guess you're too lazy to look that up?
If you insist... According to Destiny Tracker, your Iron Banner k/d is 0.79.
because that's what idiots with no real point do.
The point of this was me saying that there's no counter to shadestep, because there isn't. I can't stop you from shadestepping. Continue to vomit onto your keyboard some more. I'm listening.
-
Destiny Tracker is wrong on that one. My crucible is that. My IB stats have been well above 1.0 for months. I haven't finished an IB since October or November with less than a 1.0. I kept up with my averages to see if I was improving, and I only started IB with the 2.0 release, because I don't enjoy the PVP of Destiny as much as other PVP. It's not as fun to me. Except there was always a counter for shadestep. Just because you can't figure it out, doesn't mean it's not there. But keep living in your world where there are invincible hunters, because that's obviously what it takes to break sub classes. Next will be Titan, then warlock again, then hunter. Eventually the classes will all be the same, except for their jumps, all the weapons will be exactly the same, and the game will be dead.
-
You're calling aim assist a crutch lmao You need aim assist on consoles or else it would be impossible to land a shot. I'm not biased, I'm just showing you why shadestep needed a nerf.
-
No, you're making my point for me. It's in the game, designed for us to use...therefore, it's not a crutch. Oh, and aim assist is absent, tuned down, or able to be switched off, in many top tier shooters, and I usually have it off, because the aim lock is annoying, especially when you're aiming at someone with a long distance shot, and someone runs across your view and the reticle locks to that person, instead of the shot you were trying to take. But you will probably have some bullshit comeback because you actually suck without such aids, but that's ok kiddo. It's ok to be mad at everyone else, just remember that when the next round of nerfs come out, instead of buffing other abilities, and more people leave the game.
-
It's ok to be mad at everyone else
You're the mad one....? lmao
