So lets back up a few years and lets say they did make more Halo's. I feel as if currently comparing Reach as i was playing and said damn this game puts Lestiny to shame.(Refuse to call that game by its real name. Its a fake and scam.)
343i is so limited in its understanding of what it has and the story's it could tell or what it could do. Clearly had the Tigerman project been worked on while Bungie developed Lestiny more.
Had Bungie steamed forward with Halo they could have killed two birds with one stone. As for Halo 4 and 5? Master Chief story could have been much better yet other games should have focused on other events.
I am all for Master Chief Returning but to force it has been a mistake on Microsoft's part and had Bungie kept it going for a few more games then Lestiny would have been much more Developed by then.
I am sure that Bungie could have worked on Lestiny on the side. Thus avoiding what you have now. Looking at the Work done on Reach the Sky was the limit and Lestiny failed to even come close.
Lestiny serves as a Borderlands Knock off trying to be Halo. So coulda woulda shoulda. Had you not been so hasty to get into bed with Sony things could have been much different.
Just think what if?
Also a side note:So many story's to tell i have no idea why it has to focus on just Chief. ODST and Reach were good examples. Also even a colossal forge world game just using all the Halos forge worlds. Even allowing NPCs. But no we get meh.

If Bungie had continued doing Halo, I expect we would be seeing more spin-offs and stories about other characters. Halo 3 wrapped up the Chief's story nicely, and I would like to think Bungie wouldn't have spoiled a good ending.

10 RepliesI like my books to be in line with the game thank you Let it tailor to causal fanbase over the dedicated fans? No thank you. Game dies for me once they do that. Reach butchered the story as it was. Its not my fault you cant read
-
5 RepliesMost of bungies halo people moved on to other companies(343) after reach, so this bungie that was left did destiny, and with that in mind, are these REALLY the people you want making a halo game??
-
3 RepliesDepends. New Bungie or old Bungie? Old Bungie would recognize that the AA's damage the game and remove them, and we would have a great soundtrack with competitive multiplayer with tons of content. New Bungie? Destiny 2.0 Halo Reach was the start of Bungievision.

Edited by Onxide: 6/21/2016 7:38:09 PMIt would've turned out the exact same way. Nothing would've really changed. Hell, bungo was planning to start a whole other trilogy starting with Halo 4. They had the story planned out out and everything. Then, something happened within the studios. They got tired of Microsoft so they wanted to start a new franchise (we all know how that turned out lmao).

You would not have asked that question and i would have not given you an answer.

Edited by Commander Tempu: 6/21/2016 10:15:44 AMMany of you don't realize that Lestiny cannot hold a Candle to Halo. Zero, as hard as bungie might currently as 90% of the Halo team left or were fired. They are at other studios and that is that. Some at 343i. Lestiny is just COD in space and none of you Desticles vote with a wallet. Sadly you just shown you will take a crummy game over a better one. You will swallow the lies and console yourself never knowing you had been tricked. Bungie is not the greatness it once was and had Bungie any smarts they would stop making deals with the devil then sell out others souls. Sadly too many do not see it. Had Halo Gone on for a bit longer it would have made Destiny not Lestiny we know as today. So few have the foresight to see it. You have Zero idea but i might as well be talking to the wind or a cactus.

I dislike both Destiny and 343 Halo, help
If Bungie never turned into Bungievision... They would realize the mistakes they made in Reach and found a way to correct it. The stories would be so much better than they are now, which is low quality forced fan-fiction that has the obligatory MC and Cortana. We could continue to get Halo games with amazing music, a perfect art style, packed with content/features, and hopefully overall improvements and understanding what went wrong. No CoD clone either. At the same time, if they were as disgruntled and board as they say they were, either it could show up in the quality of work or some of them would go elsewhere or form a new studio (or two), which is somewhat happening now (Highwire and the one making Re-Core). No one knew Halo and had as much passion in their work quite like Bungie use to. The franchise is just being whored out now...

I would have been sad, as all the memories I made on Destiny would not have came to be.

1 ReplyWe wouldn't have gotten Halo 4. I -blam!-ing love that game. Story was excellent and I still liked the multiplayer (untill it became a DMR fest). All the flaws of Halo 4 dont even compare to the Shitshow Destiny is. I'm glad BUNGiVision don't have their smelly claws on it. 343's handling of the story untill Halo 5 and escalation has been excellent. In fact HuntTheTruth was still great despite how Halo 5s story turned out. Don't tell me you didn't tear up when you found out what happened to Ben. And even in Halo 5 there are still some good aspects. Johns progression as a charachter is still going well and I want to see him come further into his own.

Edited by The Arkwolf: 6/21/2016 7:18:56 AMYep... But now they're enjoying the endless dicksucking of their brainless Destiny fans. I was playing during that whole "throw your money at the screen" fad (google it) and everyone got offended. But why? That's exactly what 95% of them fùcking do. They waste their money on that stupid microtransaction and mediocre DLC shit.
For honorable service. Against all tyrants. Sic semper tyrannis.
I kinda of want another ODST game, not a direct sequel but another game that focuses on the ODSTs. I also kind of would enjoy seeing Mal and Vaz (kilo-five trilogy) as the central protagonists of the game. I'm not sure how the community felt about that trilogy and its characters but I enjoyed it.

If Bungie was still making Halo, it would have been nothing but gameplay that resembled Reach for every installment past it, and that's just a huge turnoff to me. Reticle Bloom and Armor Abilities were just terrible. I still liked Reach, but for me, it's tied with Halo 4 for having the worst multiplayer in the series.
-
The P'fhor probably would have invaded and the W'rkncacnter got loose. Which is pretty much the state of things in Destiny. By another name.
-
See even if Bungie stayed Bungie and didn't split like they have now I couldn't see Halo going anywhere. The Bungie team despite their love for Halo had grown stale they didn't want to create anymore Halo games even side games so all we would end up with is games increasingly losing their flare, story and depth ultimately being a bad thing for Halo and its fans. I know this is a 'what if' so you could probably say what if they never stopped wanting to make Halo etc but I just can't see it. The way Halo3 ended was pretty definitive in their eyes and in the eyes of the fans back then so I don't think we'd have gotten much more from them than we already have maybe a couple side games in the same vein as ODST but after that Halo would have been put to bed.
-
Then Halo would be awesome again. Unlike the sucky multiplayer in 4 and the sucky campaign in 5
-
If they had "gotten into bed with Sony", it would be exclusive. Awful, but I'm not sure about that one.
-
The state they are in now? em no.
-
I'm glad they didn't or I wouldn't have met all the great people. Like seriously I've made some of my best friends through this game. Met them all in person a couple months ago except for a few.
-
Bungie dodged a bullet by abandoning Halo. Imaging how terrible the series would've ended up.
-
19 RepliesThis post sounds like you just wanted to way to say how you disliked destiny.
-
2 RepliesIt would have gone downhill. Developers want to work on different projects eventually, not the same one for twenty years
-
Story-wise, Halo would have likely gone in a similar direction, but would have been told in a different way.
-
It would be deader.....
-
Considering reach was there last halo. It wasn't going in a good direction either. Halo 4 mp was just an extension of reach.
