So for the past few months there has been constant complaining about the state of firebolt builds for sunsingers, however, to be perfectly honest, why was there not the same level of complaining about the arcbolts in the year one meta?
Arcbolts were equally, if not more powerful, they did over half health worth of damage *instantly* and could chain to nearby targets, making them very strong.
However those people who threw a 'nade before every gunfight' could still be easily outgunned (unlike with the pre June nerf were firebolts could greatly tip the outcome of a gunfight).
People who threw a 'nade before every gunfight' could be outgunned because the year one meta focused so much on gunskill that you could melt anyone whilst they were throwing a nade, or even during the time when they are switching to their weapon after throwing the nade.
This was because the weapons of the year one meta killed so quickly that is was all down to gunskill, reaction time, and positioning to decide who was going to win a gunfight, unlike now were it is decided upon by subclass involvement.
The weapons of the year two meta kill very slowely, and so gunplay does not focus on gunskill, but who can throw the more powerful nade and hide in a corner while their teammate comes to clean up the kill.
I really hate the current meta, I liked year one where it was focused around gunskill and reaction time. I think everyone else would enjoy that too.
