Update 2.3.0 issue : Sunsinger burn ( Ignite ) decreases damage from some sources
When Update 2.3.0 came out , many issues have been addressed by players and i have faced some of those issues like dealing 1 damage in pvp , getting ( Get it Off! ) medal in Crucible by getting kills with my weapons , etc.
But the main issue to me so far and nobody addressed yet is with my Warlock burn ability, after they change the ( Viking Funeral ) perk from extending the duration of Ignite effects to weaken the target and causing them to take 5% more damage from all sources. I'm not gonna argue about that change , but there is some sources deals less damage with Ignite effects.
I'm one of the few people who still doing old raids VOG, and CE almost every week just for fun, but this week Crota was tougher than his father.
I was dealing between 5921- 11841 damage per smash , to me that was weird , i thought they increased Crota's health , because i used to get Crota on his knees with two fusion grenades and it takes me 6 smashes to kill him , but this week with 1 slash and 4 smashes i was barely dealing damage to him , until i figured out that the burn ability (Ignite) of my melee and grenade caused that decrease of damage , i did test on other targets , watch the video to see the difference between the normal damage and damage with ignite effects.
Notes :
**Even after choosing Radiant will or Sunburst perks , still any burn caused from melee or grenade ability decreases the damage from Crota's sword.
** One guy on youtube had the same issue
** I have't test all other sources of damage, but so far normal weapons deals more damage.
** You can test that by doing tier 3 court of oryx, or sword of crota mission on hard
