Nerf it all and let the chips keep falling or instead add some buffs like the recent attempt to revive hcs and reenergize the meta Counterbalance Mida Asstd guns and perks Several things were nerfed "due to popularity" Being the most selected or used isn't a bad thing maybe you and the design team did a great job and the choice is popular because it's a good choice. Good job you not let's trash it. A couple examples perhaps. Mcdonalds and walmart 2 of the biggest money making companies that sell product. You(bungie) sell product. Have you ever heard ohhhh too many people are choosing the Big Mac. Lets remove it...or change the sauce. Does walmart say we have people choosing Pepsi because it's on sale. People aren't free to choose coke or root beer or lemonade we must do something....no sale on Pepsi(nerf it) It sounds ridiculous in those terms because it is. Is it a perfect analogy no. That said the principle remains nerfing to make us choose other things denies the freedom you are trying to preserve. Why not buff deficient things and raise the bar rather than lower it or remove choices.
