FOR CHILDREN's understanding age 5-17yrs:
So everyone has an opinion right? I think hunters are the best! You might think Warlocks or Titans are and that is perfectly OK.....in order to reach a goal we must vote on things so it is not just 2 people arguing it is 2 million people arguing and growing.....in order to fix destiny we need to take action and vote what you like and what you don't....we can't let Bungie and ACTIVISION run our game right?????
FOR MATURE AUDIENCE 18+ read
It is a lot simpler than you think....bungie should have weekly votes sent to the guardian....by each player activity voting for everything about the game then they can make the changes.
The problem is how can Bungie make voting software and where to implement it.
Here are some examples of where we could vote:
1. In the game at a kiosk (like emote/vehicle ect) in the "Tower" or any social area there could be a voting poll and questions to answer "yes" or no" "Do you want tripmines to attach again" ect.
2. On the website or bungie app = for example "This Week at Bungie" our regular info could have a voting option on the bottom of the article....
Just freaking DO IT make the voting software active OR HIRE ME TO MAKE IT GEEZ and make the questions and have every guardian answer "YES" or "NO".....it's not that complicated and pick the percentage that was higher.....
What if the community was on a 50% vote over bringing the radius on Firebolts back these things would need to have a solution such has bring back .5 meter instead of the full meter
ALL GUARDIANS ON DECK LETS SPAM THE HECK OUT OF THIS LINK:
DO IT NOW VOTE HERE AND FIX DESTINY ONCE AND FOR ALL

Unfortunately there are 3 classes that people main. If the question was. Do you want to nerf (class). 99% polls would return 67% Yes and 33% No

21 Replies1. Is not your f.cking game you are neither a developer or a producer. 2. The only right you have to the product is to use it and then bitch about it if you don't like it. 3. Since you know jack shit about how programming and development of a video game I think Bungie should be in charge. 4. There is nothing wrong with giving advice and voicing your opinion. 5. Referring to #4 although you can voice your opinion this doesn't make it fact or relevant.

Edited by bobswerski: 6/16/2016 9:30:01 PMHell to the no. I don't trust any of you idiots to know the difference between your elbow and your ass much less between what's OP and what isn't. If we allowed votes all three hunter classes would have shadestep and ahamkara spines would give you 5 tripmines that never went away until they detonated (with 3x damage, btw) and shot golden gun bullets out of them every 15 seconds.

8 RepliesYou know you've got a rubbish thread when you have to spam every other thread to get people to come to yours... Give up.

2 RepliesBungie reads the forums. They're more than aware at this point that we despise their lack of dedicated servers. We all experience lag at one point or another. My experience has been that it's laggy every now and then. It doesn't run rampant. I main titan. Just know that. Hunter gunslingers' tripmines should be able to stick to other guardians. Throwing knife nerf wasn't even needed. Warlock firebolt grenade and radius didn't need a nerf either. Especially while in radiance. It's a super and should reflect that. Because we are human and have moments of blind annoyance, these nerfs happen. We come up against a guardian highly skilled at utilizing these things efficiently every once in awhile and we see some of these race to the forums and cry nerf. Another sees their post, comes up against a similar scenario and "you're right. This just happened to me. Bungie (or Bungle Bungo, Bungee) needs to do something about this. How is this balanced?!" Just stop asking for nerfs. Bungie will change the sandbox all by themselves. It's what they do. What makes them turn into nerf into the ground are the forum nerf herders. TL;DR So no, I don't want a voting system. I just want crying posts to go away. Things were fine. IMO.

YEAH WE NEED A DEMOCRACY NOT A REPUBLIC LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE

Edited by Shane_O: 6/17/2016 12:35:41 AMStrange! My best friend and I were discussing a voting system on changes last night and what you've laid out is very, very close to what we were thinking of. However, after thinking about the pros and cons of something like this, I have to say that this would be an extremely risky implementation. As others have noted in this forum, there is an incredible amount of things that could and probably would happen to hijack the voting system. For instance, not only would players who main a Titan or Warlock down vote any "positive" changes to a Hunter, others would just troll the system and just randomly vote yes or no with no immediate thought to the implications those choices would even have on them. It could literally break the game ( I know Bungie wouldn't allow it to go that far, though). In the future a voting system could possibly work, and I believe Bungie is probably one of a very few number of developers that could set a precedent on a system like this since they do seem to look deeper into numbers and statistics than most other developers. The thing is, it's far more complicated than it seems on the surface and creating a voting program like this would require a fairly considerable amount testing and planning. The question then is: Would it be worth the investment?
-
Let's put this in perspective. My kd rate is 1.02, I am in the top 40%. All voting results would be skewed to the preferences of the worse players. Not bashing or anything, but players with lower kds tend to view things to be more OP, when they aren't.
-
No, because just like in real life, there are some very stupid people who play this game. That's why the US is a representative democracy. Although bungie has made some very questionable balance changes, I doubt the general population of this toxic community could do any better.
-
Oh, man, how quickly things would get ruined. This is a shitty idea. Things get nerfed fast enough to these forums, we don't need to streamline the process.
-
7 Repliesno its their game not ours.. dont like it ? dont play it? so tired of everyone who knows it better then them.. they made a great game
-
A) not every player will vote. This means we will never be representing the full community opinion. B) the minority will always be upset. That's what we're seeing on the forums right now. All the posts complaining are the vocal minority. You can see in the ones that actually have a poll that the majority of players here are actually fine with the changes. C) the players will only vote to keep their favorite things strong and the rest to be weak. That's not balance. The players are biased.
-
8 RepliesYou, the players, don't deserve a vote: 1. you are not financially vested in the company 2. you don't know the difference between bandwidth and latency 3. you complain now about hunters only but where were you when warlock and titan super nerf meant you could no longer take down a single yellow bar enemy? (that's been fixed now BTW) 4. you think the USA is a democracy even though you pledged allegiance "to the flag and the republic for which it stands" almost 1000 times in grade school 5. you want to make PVP go the same way as Halo PVP which has ruined the Halo franchise 6. you will down vote this post
-
If player voting was allowed, you assholes would always vote on buffing hunters and nerfing everything else. I had enough of the stupid nerfs. Hopefully destiny 2 wont suck like this
-
Edited by AstralAgent: 6/16/2016 3:17:11 PMThat sounds like a pretty great idea, but not for a game that is already very near the end of its lifespan with a sequel on the way
-
2 RepliesWhy, why would we want this? Just suck it up and play the dang game
-
1 ReplyEdited by fibeto: 6/16/2016 10:51:36 AMA lot of the reason why things keep getting changed is because people complain about the wrong things. They call for nerfs instead of calling for a rework of something else that isn't performing well. It's a constant cycle of "this is good now and this sucks now" because of this. People get too frustrated and run here with their frustrated improper feedback and it causes undesirable outcomes. Voting would make that even easier. Too many people main a certain class and hate on the others for that to work properly. "I main a warlock, I see a vote to nerf a hunter and Titan, I'll vote for those" Yes there's 74% of the vote agreeing with you but to me that looks like 74% of the people don't want to provide legitimate feedback from game experience and would rather say yes or no and not give a reason why. A nice confidential vote where people can't tell you you're wrong for choosing the wrong thing. Here's a perfect example of my reasoning if needed. This will prove voting has zero effect and that people are gonna vote yes in frustration. Edited by Jared_Ingels: 6/16/2016 11:00:22 AMI feel like it will never get fixed everyone wants to report me for spam so sorry guardians this thread will most likely not reach my goal of millions of votes bc I'm not risking my accounts bc I already pre-ordered rise of iron and I'm not risking getting a permanent ban for trying to do the right thing.....that's how dark our world is..... oh well I tried :(

1 ReplyEdited by Deleted: 6/16/2016 10:28:52 AMStop spamming this thread everywhere, all I see in every post on every sub forum is you spamming this post everywhere. Nobody in #offtopic or #gaming really cares about this, so please if you're gonna spam it somewhere spam it in #destiny where it belongs.

Actually the no side do have a legitimate argument but what everyone seems to forget is that we don't own anything in game itself except for the console we play it on. Bungie could shut down the server tomorrow and we'd have nothing.

No, absolutely not Voting doesn't work because there are too many Idiots out there. Just look at how that worked out for the USA
