Self explanatory from the title.
There have been numerous posts; most dating back to 2014, and then some. I have every-single piece of Destiny gear sitting on my Collectors shelf, yet I can't hear Dinklebot talk his old school Vanilla comments, not have the motion sensor come on overtime someone walks up my staircase. Its a talking point and, like many, its stuffed. Why? Probably due to a very thin plastic clip holding the charge usb port in place on the backing plastic. Most complain about the usb port dropping into the casing and rattling around, deeming the unit useless once its current battery charge has depleted. Nobody wants a "dead" ghost collectors edition, especially me ;)
I care nothing about warranty; sending it in, waiting, waiting... who knows if its even covered. Ive :gently" pried at the shell (particularly where the surrounding black tabs are which house the dimming LED blue lights)... they slide out, but it isn't the first panel to open to access the internals. I know that because two screws are inside and screwed outwards; lifting the triangle panels breaks the thread. My bad, but Im inquisitive.
CAN ANYONE (INCLUDING BUNGIE SUPPORT) provide absolutely ANY insight into how one of us guardians can do this ourselves, or hint at which panels to pry? Heat gun initially?
COME ONNNNNNNN, its been two frickin years nd nobody provides the information. Ill be a guinea pig and record a video of those not willing to try it first on theirs. Im more than happy to; I don't plan on selling any of my collectibles for some profit when I need cash. WE NEED AN ANSWER TO PAST INQUIRIES!
Bump if you're in the same case. SURELY someone has done it to theirs without completely f#$%ing up the look and integrity of their ghost.
Again I stress, Im not interested in sending in for warranty.
Cheers ladies and gents!

5 RepliesHey Sethgun. I’m not sure if you found a fix yet but I just came across your post as I was having issues with my own ghost. After a few hours, I figured it out. Hit me up on PSN if you still need help with it. My PSN is Bobbivino.
