Over the last 9 months I have played Destiny pretty casually. I get gear as it comes to me, and I have generally enjoyed the pace at which I am rewarded from the game. And after the April update when they fixed a bunch of the rewards and rep gains. I liked it even more. In all that time I have had I think two, maybe three legendary engrams de-crypt into exotics(It may be more, but the point is that it is a pretty rare occurrence). Up until yesterday I only needed one more exotic primary. Red Death. I have needed just this one, for several months now. Anytime I got a primary engram, I would invariably get a duplicate(lots of hawkmoons and monte carlos). It really felt like RNGesus was messing with me, as this was the only weapon I needed. I know it isn't what it used to be. I probably won't use it all that much. It was simply a matter of collecting. Last night I do some random patrols, kill a yellow bar enemy and get a legendary primary engram to drop, which I ignore since I don't really need any more random legendary guns. So let's just say I was kind of surprised when it de-crypted into... Red Death And you know what? Rather than being happy to finally complete my collection(more or less). Rather than think, hmm I am looking forward to using this thing. You know what my first thought was... Xur is going to sell this tomorrow. Screw you Xur, screw you and the ship you flew in on... :P **Edit** I don't know what I like more. People getting the joke and having a laugh with me, or the salty old "veterans" making snarky comments. You guys are the best...
