How useless would my grandmaster armor be?
I just crafted every grandmaster set available and was wondering how they would hold up in NG+?

The most significant part of Witcher gear are the bonuses, not the armor/damage rating itself. Having good passive bonuses is much more important. It's why it's almost always more viable to use Witcher gear than anything else unless it's damage/armor rating is close to a 100 or so points better. I was able to use my master crafted wolf gear until around level 65 on NG+ when I replaced it with Legendary Mastercrafted Wolf gear. The downside is I think you only keep your equipped armor set and your money when you start NG+, so you just blew a lot of money you could have used during your NG+ play through.

I'm currently in ng+ after crafting the grandmaster sets. i used the grandmaster ursine set for half the game then I had to upgrade to legendary grandmaster gear. Got to a point I was getting wrecked and dealing poor Damage. The downside is you have to find all the diagrams again and work your way back up to grandmaster. Obv the viper, wolf and manticore you just need to buy/find one set of diagrams
