How come the Vex didnt exist in our universe until Crota accidentally cut open a rift which let them in?
It's known the Vex can operate in far more than 3 dimensions, even to the point of essentially copying and pasting in realities from other timelines into the one we operate in. But why would they only have entered into our universe after a door was made for them if they have this incredible ability to interact with other universes?

We don't actually know how the Vex got into our universe. We know Crota opened a hole that brought the Vex into Oryx's Throne World, but Throne Worlds are separate dimensions, so that doesn't really help. However, we know they've been in our universe long before the events of the game, seeing as how Quria battled Oryx [i]outside[/i] Oryx's throne on the Nicha Thought Ship.
