Why are some Overwatch players so stubborn?
By 'stubborn' I mean refusing to change heroes when it is quite obvious the team needs a certain hero. For example, when the defending team needs a healer but there are two offense heroes, both refuse to change. Then the team loses and the two (Or one of them) blames the other players for causing the defeat.
These kind of players are very annoying and seem to apper more and more often lately in the games I join, and can even be as high level as 70 (I judge game experience based on player level) and still not have realized their mistakes.
Can anyone explain why people do this? I'm very confused about this.

You think that's bad comrade? I've played games with people playing defense on attack. Not mei, not junkrat, hell not even hanzo. No these idiots realized the defense was iron tight so they switch to bastion or widowmaker setup behind us and never push the objective ever [spoiler]tactics comrades tactics [/spoiler]

What annoys me is when you need a tank and a healer and no one will switch. You're pretty much forced to take a tank and spam "we need a healer", because there's no "we need a tank" option. Even then people still don't switch, it's ridiculous. Can't wait for the comp mode, maybe I can get away from these retards.

1 ReplyThen they spam "We need a healer" and wont change themselves. OR when you're playing as a healer they say "I need healing" when they run head first into the enemy team and die.

Ive learned to play as lucio or mercy because ps4 players dont want to play support most of the time. If im lucky someone will be a support so i can play reaper or widowmaker

Critic : Overwatch is bad, it's got no story. Fan : You don't need a story, Blizzard have made a great Hero shooter, just play for fun. Critic : OK, I'll give it a go, that Hero kind of looks like the one I would enjoy playing and having fun. Fan : Oh no, you can't do that, you must play the character that nobody else wants to play.

because some of them are kids. My girlfriends 12 year old son was playing this weekend when she stayed over & I guarantee you that he didn't give two shits about the team make up or assisting the team while he ran around doing nothing but freezing people & ice walling his team mates.

The only way to get better with any hero is to play as them, even when you're terrible with them.

I wait until everyone has picked before i will. To many times have I picked the pain train Reinheart and then someone else picks diva and is like "We only need one tank so you should switch".

1 ReplyEasy solution. Get good at the game (not pro level, just a little above average at least), wait for the mmr to recognize your skill level. Get matched with people of equivalent skill. Now you are in a pub team that should know what they are doing just like you. Have fun with balanced team comps and pub stomping. [spoiler]you are playing pubs. So casual teams are to be expected. This will all change when ranked play comes in.[/spoiler]

One of the reason I did not buy this game. I carried many "teams" to victory just by switching to Lucio or Mercy on the dying moments of a game. I can do it all the time but Nope....I'm out.

I guess the common response here is "I payed for it so I can play my way" Me personally I normally go for Mercy but I use her more as a stealth dps, sniper, speed healer rather than hanging around team mates

It's annoying as hell. I'll switch to lucio if no one picks support but we end up losing because no one can kill for shit.
