Halo 2 players get a free beta code
Check your email, just got my email a few min ago. You also get 3 free months and 400ms points.

this is bs! I have been on xbl since before 2007 and I have played copious amounts of Halo 2 on xbl...I didn't get an email or a code! I did get ODST so I still get in, but I would have enjoyed an extra 450MS points and three free months subscription... BS!

It most likely has to do with the email linked to your account. I'm going to guess that if you've played h2 and h3 on 1 account, they send the email to the address linked to your account. It may also have to do with a recurring subscription, say if you have a credit card linked to the account. You get the halo raech beta inside the halo odst disc. when the Beta begins on May 3rd, 2010 you can download it from extra on halo odst. (sorry for my bad english)

I've been playing Halo 2 since October 24th and I got an email. I started this account on Halo 2 then moved over to Halo 3 on October 30th. I have 171 games played on Halo 2 and 1391 games played on Halo 3 since October. I would just like to throw that out there if that helps anyone (or maybe it will anger more folks...) This seems legit, although I'll admit I'm pretty annoyed. I'm not one for whining, but when things are given away based on certain criteria, but the criteria isn't clearly defined, it annoys me. For example, from what we know, it involves playing Halo 2 on XBL. I've recorded close to 2,500 games of H2 dating as far back as July of 2006. Yet there are plenty of people who have received emails about this, despite not playing as many games or dating back as far. I just want M$ to explain what they used to determine who gets an email.
