I can understand you there, however, this is a shooter with some very heavy MMO influences. There is little incentive to get new gear if you can just keep your old gear. If they were to keep old gear relevant, then it should be through infusion. For me, I like the quest for the new and exciting. I may have my old stand by guns and armor, but as those go obsolete, I eventually find new ones. If anything, I wish I could keep the stats of the next latest and greatest, but be able to transfuse the aesthetics of the old weapon that I enjoyed so much.
