Nanomachine Plague
you ever read the description for Spinmetal? the metal coral stuff found all over the Cosmodrome?
it's grown by Golden Age Nanomachines, which apparently run wild, ?like a virus?
Fallen probably drank some by accident while scavenging,
Probably will see Fallen with bodies turned partly into Metal, zombie space cyborgs.
Oh hey that even fits the 'Iron' theme of the title.

There's been a theory about the fallen being infected by the vex technology when Skolas was using it to his advantage so it could be like vex/fallen mutants. If you look closely at the cave in the teaser trailer you can see almost like brownish tinted bodies and blue, red, and I think yellow eyes walking out of the shadows.

That was Venus tho the leak images clearly say Old Russia, and Golden Age tombs. no Vex on Earth, plus the combination is a bit of a stretch, I just don't see the Vex being a major focal point given that story arc has already run its course Still feeling Nanocaust Plague -to steal a term from popular science fiction (where else does Bungie get their ideas from?)
