  • I love you Bungie. I have ever since Halo:CE. But now, you've really earned it. It looks like you guys are realizing the bar that I wanted Halo:CE to reach. CE originally intrigued me because of it's similarity to Tribes 2 (My favorite game of all time). T2 was getting out of date looking, but the gameplay could not be beat. First FPS I know of to have vehicles. It looks as though you have taken many cues from that wonderful but outdated game. I'm wondering if you have some the guys who worked for Sierra/Dynamix working on REACH with you? I hope so. I love those guys. They deliver. Loadouts: In T2 there were inventory stations you could run over to loadout with different weapons, nades, packs, and regenerate health and ammo. There were three armor classes, light, medium, and heavy. The lighter the more agile your character ws but the less damage you can take and less ammo you could carry. Heavy aromor was slower, stronger and carried more ammo. You get the idea... Generators: T2 Powered things like inventory stations, vehicle spawning stations, base shields, and automated base turrets. These were key to protect in order to keep your teams strength up. Jetpacks: Allowed for multi-level fighting and you could 'ski' across a map by alternating jumping and propulsion. Jetpacks were the key element to the fun that was T2. & Packs: Speed, Shield, (Jet), Camo, (< >)... I believe the X10 Alpha interviews say that this (beta) is a limited set of attachments. But if we can take a cue from T2 then chances are the (< >) is expansion for carring more ammo, and I'd like to see a repair pack used to repair generators, turrets, vehicles and teammates. Active Roster is genius. It's makes for a much more balanced experience. Headhunter also reminds me of an old T2 gametype called Hunters. Just flags instead of Skulls. Every kill you get earns you a skull, the idea is to accumulate the skulls and drop them off at a point station. If you get killed before you return to the station you lose your skulls. The more you can bring back the better the point multiplier. So if you're good you risk staying on the field longer for more skulls. I believe in you Bungie. I've always wanted a newer better T2 and it looks like you guys are going to deliver. I love your products and have faith that you will execute REACH with all your graces at making enjoyable balanced games. Thanking you now... before I even get to play it. BTW I am not accusing you of ripping anything off, I want REACH to be what only BUNGIE can deliver!

[/quote] im sorry to say this but you are an idiot.... stop comparing this game to COD, call of duty is STUPID and bungie knows this so they are not making it like cod. halo is such a completely different game they dont even come close....and starting with whatever gun you want is unbalanced in halo it doesnt -blam!- ing matter if its balanced in COD or not it will not work for this game. and would you people stop saying they will be like perks! they said it will be like equipment in halo 3 that you pick up

You already know it, but you just don't like hearing it the way I say it, because I say it a negative way. The BR and Sniper are too freaking broken. Other weapons need to be able to compete with them. Otherwise, those weapons are just taking up space (both disk and RAM wise) that could be used for other means. As for the rather vocal and impassioned responses about Loadouts being Perks/Equipment, You can't claim its equipment just as we cant claim its a perk (however the name LoadOUT lends a little more credence to it being a prematch choice, since loadouts are something you take in to the field).   • I don't post on forums like ever but this is worth posting something. I got to say I'm a little worried about this game. Not into jet packs at all, looks like there's a lot of heavy weapons that require zero skill to use, and I have to agree with another post vehicle explosions are ugly and it looks like you die a lot more than in the other halos I loved the challange and feeling of only getting 1 or 2 deaths a game. But that's nothing compared to how much I like everything else. I have complete faith in bungie that they will make things balanced and make sure that there will be skill involved in this game. I have LOVED every halo game they have made an I'm sure ill love this one to. Dear bungie its time for a flyable pelican iv been wating since halo 1.....now I realize that it would be hard to put in multiplayer and make it balanced but in single player would be great.

Remember this is a sugestion not a command [/quote] i dont understand how people are complaining about this at all. first of all the grenade launchers you are saying will be unfair and there is already heavy weaponry but cmon its halo.....they will make everything balanced. i dont think they would put in things to make it so player wont need skill to play, none of the games have been like that. they are giving us new toys to play with whats to complain about! this is exactly what i was disappointed in with halo 3. to me theyr werent enough new weapons. and if you watch the video closely you see the sniper has the same amout of bullets and who said they are bigger? dont know what ur smoking but it is messin with ur brain

  • Bungie did do a great job don't you think that the stick grenade launcher was un far realy that would be the the new noob tools, also why does halo need a regular granade launcher it has heavy weaponry what else do you want the game will be death after death and there will be no need for skill to kill someone like in halo 3 were you had a br. and a ar. to start out with and a few extra weapons here and there but reach is going to have more rounds in the sniper and bigger bullits so nobody would have to aim any more to get a good headshot.   • i think a lot of people are getting confused with the new armor abilities in the video. some people are saying its perks like stupid COD and some people are saying they are just armor perks. if you guys payed attention you would know that they said it will be like equipment from halo 3 that you pick up!!! not god d@mn perks like COD so stop saying that. its getting quite annoying

  • Judging from the trailer, this game just seems like its trying to level the playing field, not requiring as much skill to use the weapons. We'll see how it works with their ranking system, truskill must be determined somehow. If the game can't define who has the best skill and should rank up numerically, I'll be disappointed. If it's just all about EXP points like COD is and there is no Truskill involved, I'm going to beat the campaign on legendary then never use the disk again.

  • WOW! just wow! im watching this agian, over and over ... and over and over agian im going to look at every frame! I LOVE THIS GAME! ... its like Halo+Section 8 .... best game ever... this will sell like hotcakes! .... i hope the jetpack thing wont be overused, there are a few things that i was worried about in this tease of gameplay, but mainly the change of gamestyle, there are going to be alot of people that just hore the jetpack or grenade launcher, and did i see a covie nade launcher in there? ... i might reply agian after i see it a second time, first impressions are thro the roof, :D CANT WAIT! ... P.S. whoever did the 3D text in the teaser :) goodjob <3 -Cal

That is what makes CoD so unbalanced. Bungie realizes that having people spawn with different weapons will throw off the balance of the game, but since armor abilities don't effect the game as much as weapons do, you will have the ability to start out with whatever armor ability you want. Yes, I said it, what makes CoD really popular is you can tailor the gameplay experience: A lesson Bungie is fortunately taking to heart.[/quote] well im pretty sure your wrong. because they said that these types of things would be like the equipment from halo 3. you dont get to pick what you get before a game like CoD personally i think that would ruin the game. they are equipment like halo 3 except its not gone once you use it. things like sprinting you pick up and then you are able to use it over and over again but it has to recharge
