If you use Fireborn ALL THE TIME, you don't know how to Warlock
You depend on resurrecting because you know you'll die. Which is the nature of it. Literally no other use or advantage.
Things to do to keep you from dying:
[b]Use Radiant Skin[/b]
It gives you extra armor during your super. Put on ram while you're at it. Not sure if it negates the perk, but do it for science. You can't literally eat a sniper shot to the face. I ran tests.
[b]Use Song Of Flame[/b]
You know how everyone hates Firebolts?
Now imagine if your whole team can get hate mail.
All grenade & melee cooldowns are increased. Throw on Heart of Praxic Fire & you're a fireball throwing machine.
From a competitive standpoint, you'll die more than not if you hold your super hoping for a clutch.
I thought people who play Trials have high PvP intellect(brain power, not stats)
I thought you learn to "adapt"
You should know by now people check opponents before the match starts.
"He's a Sunsinger w/ self res" & 10/10 they hardscope your body when you die.
At this point you might as well say "I'M ALIIIIIIVVVVVEEE...& here's another kill for you before going to orbit :)"

6 RepliesRadiant skin....a whole 5% more armor...yay....fireborn allows you to take risks you couldn't normally and take hits others can't, specifically in the raid. In pvp sunsinger is just crap, firebolts, yay. Otherwise everyone knows how to put a res down shotgun/sniper or even primary, took on 2 self res with a handcannon and killed both... Voidwalker beats sunsinger to death any day.

Yh true but i recently used this tactic in 6v6 When the heavy ammo spawns in 15 seconds kill urself with fusion grenades or if it is near a cliff or any other suocode able place kill urself if able switch to other grenades when ammo spawns in 4 sec and evryone is thwre self res and spam those solar grenades xd disco dance \ (._.) ) )> / \ Usually it will lead into a breaker medal and gaining the heavy lol

2 RepliesIn PVE, just use Fireborn with Tlaloc. You're always holding your super back, so your scout rifle is basically Jesus for free. Yay! In PVP, if you get killed by some bullshit like a rocket or enemy super, just revive when they forget about you and claim vengeance, then go around slaying anyone else nearby with your freshly-charged abilities. Yay! Radiant Skin gives you [i]5%[/i] more armor, and I wouldn't bank on your teammates clinging to you for Song of Flame's buff for its duration. Besides, if your team is clumped up around you for a buff, that makes you a prime target for a counter super like Nova Bomb or Fist of Havoc.

I use fireborn all the time, not because I die a lot just because it's shite. In trials it's rarely useful and I don't die often in Pve but can't be bothered changing my set up, I just haven't got around to deleting my warlock and making another hunter yet.

I don't PvP really, but I rarely use Fireborn in PvE. If it's something like the Nightfall or a raid, I may use it as a backup, but for everything else it's Song of Flame all the way. I get to use it more often because I'm not sitting on it, it lasts longer, and helps my team. It's really just a crutch, imo, and can promote sloppy play.

5 RepliesI used to run fireborn. Now radiant skin and will all day. With rams helm (and aolar armor perk)I can take a rocket (I have videos) I can eat sniper shots and more. I no longer run this but radiant skin alone with solar perk and I take 2 GG shots to kill. Although they usually only get one before I kill them. You sound quite salty about it. Are you salty because: A SelfRes Warlock killed ya? A SelfRes Warlock saved a wipe? A SelfRes Warlock killed a thrall you had your eye on? It's just a perk!
